I’ve purchased 2 of these one for a gaming desk and chair as well as a work desk and chair. Both are pretty durable. And easy to clean. Each of mine fit perfect for the areas designated. One con is that it does get dented,I guess from the amount of force applied to it, if your sitting in your chair for long periods of time.

I recently got a new rug for my home office, and wanted to protect it from the wheels on my desk chair. I wanted to be able to move the chair easily enough, but not as much as it would move on a hard surface, as this would make the chair feel kind of skittery and unstable. This mat is just right for that purpose. Obviously I don't yet know how it's going to wear. It is thin enough to possibly develop permanent indentations if the chair was always in just the same place, but that's not the case, placement is always a bit random within a zone of comfy access to the computer or piano. In short, I'm really please with the mat, especially for the relatively rock-bottom price.

Delivery was quicker than I expected and I'm satisfied with the product however the rollers on my chair make permanent dents in the mat. Don't know if a thicker material would avoid this.

Was a bit hard to unroll but flattened out nicely after setting some heavy objects on it over night.It has no smell which I am happy about.

Had this mat for a few weeks and it's just not what is advertised. It's thin and weak, allowing chair wheels to indent and get stuck. If you're not a small person, when you go to roll your chair the wheel breaks and you hilariously tumble over in the direction of travel.Another chair and Gorilla Mat have been ordered. Lesson learned.

I don't want to trash this product because I believe when used on the proper surface, it would work fine. However, it does not work for standard (medium) ply carpet or anythibg longer. On short ply carpet I'm positive it would work great.

Not very good if putting on carpet. It could be thicker.

Mine arrived rolled up. I didn't have as much problem as others seem to have had getting is straightened out, although it wasn't easy. It seems quite durable (thicker than some I have had in the past) but it's really too early to tell. Because of the spikes it doesn't move about on the carpet, which is good. All-in-all first impressions are good. No idea how long it will last but all the ones I have had in the past have only lasted 2/3 years.

The mat is sturdy and, once the initial plastic smell wore off, has been a great help protecting the carpet under my son’s computer chair. When it arrived we soaked it in warm water in the bath and then added weight to each corner for a couple of days. End result, a flat, strong mat, which is barely noticed but makes a huge difference.

It’s in place and it works. Like the ‘teeth’ that grip the carpet and stop it from siding.

No real problems with rolling out as with some reviews. However I had to return as my office chair sank into the mat and deformed it. This made it very difficult to roll my chair about when sat on it. ( allot harder than the bare carpet)

The mat arrives rolled up, and takes a lot of effort to flatten - I've had it laid out with heavy objects on it for three days and it's still not flat. Also it's not very stiff, so when placed on carpet I'm finding that it doesn't actually protect the carpet from being dented by the chair wheels and I'm not able to easily roll over it when sitting on my chair.
