Great Product - Great Value - 1800mAh 600A Portable Car Jump Starter
Not going to lie here folks, I figured this was going to be a, "too good to be true" purchase.Well.. Horse-Hockey. Turns out, i was wrong. It works! And when I say, "It works", I mean, "It works" exactly as specified. Sadly, it started an F-250 V-8 in zero degree weather, after it had already started a Solara Convertible with a 5-year old dead battery @ 10-below, not once, not twice; but several times since buying it. Every time I used it, it would drop from 100% to 97 or 96 percent per start. I expected at LEAST a 10% drop. On one really cold day when I had to turn over the Solara twice (the first 3-seconds didn't do it), that particular jump start took it down to 92% charged.IMPORTANT Advise: READ THE MANUAL! Before even touching it, I read the manual. I suggest everyone do the same!Pay special attention to the things they tell you about. For example, don't turn the key over for more than 3-seconds at a time. After each use, WAIT before you re-charge it! Also, about using the button on the side of the battery terminals attachment. About how it doesn't even need to be turned on to jump start a car. Things like that. READ IT, it's a GREAT manual & you'll get much more from the unit by using the product the way they tell you to use it.The flashlight proved handy too. Sure, I have flashlights; but it's nice they include a way to let you see the battery terminals and actually re-read the included instructions before you actually try to hook up any connections! :)The MANY power settings for the other ports are fantastic too. I mean, wow. To think they include so many connectivity and charging options as well. It's mind blowing. Even a Cigarette lighter charger so your car can recharge it after you've jumped started that car? (After waiting the time designated in the manual, following each use). The outside case is well constructed fabric textured hard-shell with included battery surround foam (pictured) for that half of the case. There is even a handy usage chart on the padded divider that separates compartments. My only modification was placing some compressible foam on the battery side of the case specifically so the battery itself isn't rubbing up against the inside of the hard case all the time (I included a picture of this added foam too).In a nutshell, this product was well thought out. It's not a half-measure, it's not an, "almost" what you want. The battery terminal clips are not the cheap junk that I've seen on others jump starters. The manual wasn't written by someone that speaks English only through a translator. No!It's the whole deal. It's well constructed. It's "heavy duty", it includes EVERYTHING you need to Charge or Jump-start anything it is rated for. The manual is VERY WELL written and COMPLETE (and that alone is saying a ton these days). It is well packaged and HAS performed as promised. If abused, I can't say what your results will be; however, I have used and cared for it as indicated in detail in the Manual and so far, I'm just amazed at how great it is.Value: Ha ha ha ha ha. Ask me when you're standing in 10-below weather wondering what you're going to do. It's the Best $70 I've spent this year.My only complaint was not buying two of them!

Impressive Performance Nicely Packaged
We are very impressed with this product's performance, packaging and value. Frankly, we were skeptical it would live up to its billing, but it has. We assumed what we'd get was a good portable power-pack suitable for charging mobile phones, cameras and computers--but jump starting a car? It passed with flying colors (albeit on a small, four-cylinder Hyundai Getz). We were impressed with this unit right out of the box. It's packaged in a very nice and well-made soft-side zippered case that's complete with a raft of accessories and an owner's manual (more on that later). We appreciated the fact that it can be charged via a wall outlet or 12v outlet (cigarette lighter). It charged quickly and has held a good charge for two months, during which time we've charged phones, jump-started our generator and this morning jump-started the car. Living in the tropics, we are subject to frequent power outages ...and if there's a problem with the generator, we're stuck. That was the impetus for this purchase--we needed a way to charge phones if all power was down. It's been great for that, but does much more. Given its ability to charge at different ranges and the wealth of tips provided, it's extremely versatile when it comes to electronics. When the battery on our generator went dead, we were able to use this to jump start the generator. And now we've jump-started the car. Impressive performance for such a small but well-built package.Given all that it can do, the quality of the unit and the accessories, and the surprising power, we have found this an excellent value. And it's small enough to pack along and provide power in a pinch.Frankly, the only small disappointment was that i was initially underwhelmed by the instructions, which I found a bit confusing. I could't get the trouble light (which provides a steady beam as well as two flashing modes) to work. I now attribute that to operator error and the directions for jump-starting worked like a charm. I am, however, not sure about the compass, which could easily be left out without affecting the value in the least. It just seems a bit gimmcky to me given the strong electromagnetic fields that must be generated, but it works better than expected.Overall, we are delighted and very impressed with this combination of power, versatility and value.
