IFor best experience Get the App
Sometimes it just has to be small. For this use case HifiBerry has build the MiniAmp, that fits perfectly onto a Raspberry Pi Zero. While its Class-D amplifier provides only 3 Watts of power, this if often enough for small music players like kitchen radios, a radio clock or a small music player for your kids. The board will be powered by the Raspberry Pi power supply. You dont need an additional power supply. This is HifiBerry smallest amplifier board, designed for the Raspberry Pi Zero. It can be used not only with the Raspberry Pi Zero, but also with the bigger Raspberry Pi B+/2 and 3. The board comes without spacers and male header (the male header is needed to mount it on the Raspberry Pi Zero, all other Raspberry Pi boards already have the male header mounted). So note that for the Raspberry PI zero, you need to solder a 40-pin male header to the board. This header isnt included, but you can order it from us. We also recommend to order a set of spacers (these are not included). Compatible with: Raspberry Pi A+/B+/2/3/Zero

Works well
Very good sound. Slight background noise, could be caused by the switching power supply.

Great little amp
Worked beautifully with Max2Play and is loud enough for a small room with perfectly acceptable quality. The bonus is that its powered completely buy the Pi so no additional PSU to buy. Highly recommended.
