I really like this, but following the instructions produces fluffy, sticky rice. This isn't what I want from basmati. The grains should be soft but intact, and certainly not sticky. I ignored the instructions and put the rice in with too much water (boiling water, straight from the kettle) and a dash of salt (if you want your rice to have flavour, salt it!). I then set it to cook with the lid off. With the lid on, too much steam gets trapped underneath the lid. Yes, there's an escape hole, but the water is allowed to retain too much heat causing it to boil vigorously - which causes the rice to fluff and become sticky. With the lid off, the water gently simmers, which is exactly what is needed. Twelve minutes later, sift the rice through a sieve to get rid of the excess water. Absolutely perfect rice. There is a catch with this cooker - it will automatically switch to 'warm' mode to keep your rice warm, but there is no notification of this except the light on the front (and maybe a click as the button switches from cook to warm). The first time I used the cooker, I followed the instructions. As stated above, my rice was cooked well, but fluffy and sticky. In addition, even though it should only have been on 'warm' for no more than two minutes, the rice at the bottom of the cooker was fried and brown. I'm going to hang on to this, because using my own method the rice comes out perfect. It is much more efficient than my electric stove because it produces just the right amount of energy to cook the rice. The stove turns on and off to give an 'average' temperature that vigorously boils the rice when it is generating heat and taking it off the boil when it isn't. This is typical of electric stove tops. My little rice cooker is perfect.

Good little rice cooker, very quick one,happy with it ,only one little thing when rice is cook u need to mixed it so it don't stick on bottom.

It is a very low quality product. The product arrived with dents on both the outer and inner pot as you can see on the pictures even though the box wasn’t damaged at all. Meaning they sent me an already defective/deformed item. The only thing that stops me from sending this back is because it’s working and I badly needed a rice cooker! Hopefully, this thing lasts long up until I can order a new one. Receiving a damaged product is not worth my money.

Waw what can I say, it say a rice steamer but I've pushed this little machine now to it's limits. I've made complete rice meals with vegetables rice and fish and meat in this rice cooker big enough for two or maybe three depending on what size meal you eat. So this was today's Sunday dinner all , the potatoes carrots in the bottom with stock to just above them, the flat green beans and apple slices in the top with chips on top. It cooked for half an hour and then I dusted chops in flour finished then off in the frying pan only through choice they were beautifully steamed tender. Used the stock with juices dried down for crave , you can just add another stock cube and cornflour and bobs your uncle. It's incredible I've made Indian meals, Cajan Gumbo, Ive made chillie concanre , I've made lentils rice quinoa with vegetables, drive fish vegetables , steamed chicken breast rice vegetables, can make a stew just leave off the top steamer compartment , I've made American dishes too Chinese rice with vegetables and calsmari, and just British meals it will also steam finding and also dumplings in stew, so many things. This was today's Sunday dinner incredible for the price great to a flat 2 people with a hot plate to brown off, great for elderly all in one place cook no extra pots pans and all cooks at once on about 30 to fourth minutes too Fantastic proof is in the pudding the photo of dinner before gravey

I have never hesitated from buying items from Geepas, their products are sturdy, designed well, have quality and durability⭐💯⭐ I have used this Rice Cooker daily, it works well, i usually keep another medium sized steel vessel in it with uncooked rice and if i keep a watch and drain excess water, the rice turns out nice and separate💯✅✅💯 I have also cooked lentils/dal in this , toor dal, chilka green moong, black chilka moong.
