nice case, but not using it for poker chips
The case is lightweight and seems secure. This was about the cheapest chip case for this size. And even though it is the cheapest option it doesn't seem sub par at all. I got this so I could store my grandfather's chess set in something that would be secure but still transportable. I saw a DIY post about making a custom chess case and using this poker chip case was recommended. It makes the whole thing way more convenient and the project will still be pretty cheap. I will have to get some foam and modify it a little, but it shouldn't be a ton of work. As for what other reviewers said, I don't know what people are doing to make them fall apart. This is the cheapest, aluminum chip case on Amazon, don't expect it to be extremely rugged. As long as you are not abusing it, it should last just fine. The egg crate foam on the top of the case isn't secured in, which would be annoying except I can just glue that down when I add foam for the chess pieces. So I'm still giving it 5 stars.

Just the right size
I have a case of chips that is way too large and heavy to take places. This case is just perfect. I didn't really need the space for card decks, because I use the chips for board games, but there is still ample room. I will probably add dice or something in the middle. Good quality and no issues so far.

About what you'd expect for the price
This is a review for the 750 chip DaVinci case This was the only 750 chip case I could find anywhere, so that's why I bought it; otherwise I would have spent more money for a better quality case. But I'm pleasantly surprised. This case isn't total junk. It's not high quality, but it's all you could hope for out of a $30 case. The exterior dimensions are about 20 3/4" x 12" x 3". The 10 chip rows measure 10 5/8 inches long. They're supposed to hold 75 chips. They'll actually hold 78 dice chips (typical home chips often sold as "official casino weight."). I'm using actual casino Paulson chips, which fit 82/row if they have typical wear - 81/row if they're mint. The case holds two decks of poker sized playing cards, and the square in the middle is 2 3/8 inches which should be the perfect size for a typical 60mm dealer button. As far as constructon goes, the chip rows seem to be made of wood, coated with a felt-like substance. Whatever it is, it seems solid enough that it's not going to crumple any time soon. The latches are absolute junk, with useless locks that don't seem to work. The handle doesn't seem solidly enough attached that I'd trust it, but that's fine, because I wouldn't trust the latches enough to carry it around by the handle. This case will be carried under an arm or with two hands. But again, for $30, that's what I expected. The case has rounded corners as pictured and plastic feet on the hinge side. So I'm giving it 4 stars, based on the price. I suppose you could say that since the latches and handle aren't strong enough to use the product as designed, it should only get one star. So use your own judgement.

A case for home use
A good value case if you just want to store some chips in your house. This fits 300 Apache Bank chips with enough room to get your fingers in there. The locks are tricky to turn and pretty worthless. The five stars are for value. What else are you going to get at this price?

Good looking & sturdy case
This 500 chip case feels solid. It's well made & attractive. It can easily hold 2 decks of cards, 500 chips & dice. I'll have 450 chips in it & use the extra space for dealer chips & extra dice. If you will have any extra gear, buy the next size up to have some wiggle room beyond chips, cards & dice.

Disappointed
I've had 3 of their cases, all for 500 chips, but this was my first purchase of a case without chips, and I'm so disappointed. The case *looks* fine, but the foam in the top lid doesn't fit right and isn't attached to the case in any way. It fell out as soon as I opened the case. I put my chips in the case and tried to close the lid and it simply doesn't close right. It could be that tgr foam is too big, or it could be that the weight of the chips is making the seam bulge. It may be going back. Update 03/10/17: I've had this case for over 2 years now, and take back my original assessment. Maybe the foam was just too new at the time, but the case is fine now. Still going strong. We only play once a month, so the case doesn't see much abuse, but it still looks brand new, no issues with the metal or hinges or anything really.

2 days It's flimsy, but looks nicer than flimsy. You can stuff high-value chips in the middle. No complaints at all.

Price is reasonable, quality is decent. The locks are by far the worst part of this product. I bought a smaller size and found the same problem. Locks are not very durable and nor are the keys. Aside from that, quality is sufficient. No noticeable flaws. Just keep in mind, if you fill this case with high quality 11 gram or 14 gram chips, the case will become extremely heavy when you fill it with 1,000 chips. We just take extra care when carrying it because we don't know if it was built to handle that much weight.
