Great calligraphy pen!
I purchased this pen after I saw a blogger recommend it for calligraphy. I have been wanting to get into calligraphy for awhile (I love the way pretty words look on paper). I can't believe I spent over $5 on a single pen, but I love it and I am so happy that I did! This is my first official "fancy" pen for lettering, so I don't have much to compare it to, but I think it is a great purchase. It took me awhile to figure out how to apply different pressures for different letters and angles, but it is pretty easy to get the hang of with practice. After about 10 minutes of writing, the ink appeared to run out and I was devastated! I waited a few minutes and the ink was back again, looking better than before! I have not had any problems since. I have included a picture of a quote I lettered, just as a reference for how it writes. Of course, I have a long way to go, but I think the pen makes the world of difference! It is a thinner tipped pen, so it doesn't do the thicker letters easily, but it is great for the cursivey smaller styles of calligraphy. If you are looking for a great calligraphy pen, look no further! I'd recommend this one!

Great value for money
I write all day for my job and I like bold pens. I stumbled across this brush-like pen and decided to try it. It doesn’t require strokes be brush-like strokes, it can be handled like a regular pen but still looks great. I had a colleague say my writing looked like a font with this pen. I am also left handed and don’t have issues with the ink smearing unless I write super fast.

Perfect pen for lettering/modern calligraphy
I have a collection of Tombows (fudenosuke), Sakura and Kuretake pens and markers for lettering and just recently purchased this pen after hearing great things about it.IT IS MY FAVORITE, EVER. Why am I just discovering it now?The tombow fude soft tip has been my go-to for lettering modern calligraphy, as I prefer a more flexible tip (and find that the hard tip is just too stiff). This pen's tip is softer but still very sturdy. It writes amazingly smooth and is so inky, unlike the Tombows which I find dry out quickly, can be scratchy on paper, and are difficult to get clear upstrokes with. The tip is also nice for non-calligraphy lettering. Again, smooth, nice and inky. It makes transitions from thick to thin strokes seamless and somehow makes my handwriting look so much better.Caution: the ink doesn't dry immediately. The photo I've attached shows my fist's smudging of the lettering.I highly recommend this pen--it is a dream to write with!

My favorite brush pens!
I love the Pentel Fude Touch Sign Pens! They are one of my favorites for brush lettering on a small scale level. Pentel has two very similar pens, this one which has the brush tip, and another that has a felt tip, just FYI so you don't get surprised with a different pen than you were expecting. This pen stays "juicy" for quite a while as long as you write on smooth nice-quality paper that doesn't drink up your ink. The tip is about the same flexibility as the Tombow Fudenosuke soft tipped brush pen, definitely more flexible than the Tombow Fudenosuke hard tipped brush pen, and less flexible than the Kuretake Fudegokochi. I like all of those, but the real advantage to the Pentel is the wide variety of colors, and I do think it has a more smooth action than the others. It's an excellent choice for beginners, too, in that it is relatively easy to learn to control as you get the feel for making thick and think lines.

perfect
it’s very smooth while writing, the tip is fine and flexible and very smooth to use and it doesn’t transfer from page to page

So after breaking many tips on the top soft tip pens super fast and finding most of the other Hard Tip ...
Just getting into Hand Lettering as a left hander, I've tried almost every pen popular pen suggested. So after breaking many tips on the top soft tip pens super fast and finding most of the other Hard Tip versions not having enough play in thin to thick, I was sooooo happy to find this pen! It's recommended a lot for beginners and I will add to that by saying beginners and Left Handers especially. No wonder it's always out of stock! I mostly use black but had to buy colors when the black was out of stock, and I am glad I did, the colors are so vibrant. It's allowing me to have a top quality brush pen last long enough to get a lot of practice in. As I gain more control I will be able to handle those beautiful soft tip pens, but I know this will always be in my assortment. Try this pen, it will surprise you!
