Decent indoor shuttles
After reading tons of reviews and being totally confused by the nomenclature and speed ratings used by different vendors, I decided to give Mavis 300 a try. I must admit these are quite decent, not as heavy as the feature shuttles but quite comparable in performance. Am an above average players who has been playing occasionally for 2-decades and now more frequently. I haven't compared these with the other faster tournament quality shuttles yet so am giving a 4-star rating. Medium speed shuttles that seem to last as well!

High quality & value!
Very high quality birdies especially compared to the cheaper ones that come with badminton sets. We play daily and after several months are still using the first birdie from the tube. These are durable and have perfect weight & flight time for beginners and intermediates.

Great for Families
This is one of those silly products that we should have bought a long time ago. Our use is just for playing around with our kids, but they are so much better than the ones that come with a badminton set or that you get at the store. We have yet to destroy a single one, which is really saying something! The fly much nicer, which is a lot more fun.

Great Badminton's!
They work great. Slower flying than the cheap plastic ones which is what I wanted for teaching my children how to play. They have been holding up very well.

Cheap quality
Not that good for this price

Would recommend
Good value for money, a lot more resistant to wind than feather ones. Could be a bit more durable

Great for begginers! If you have one of those led shuttles, this is way better!
I love the speed and the feel of the shuttle, and it is so cheap too. It is very durable. I definatly would buy this again. 9/10

I recently started playing badminton with some friends from work and really enjoying it as sport that gets heart rate up and also an opportunity for laugh outside of work. One thing that I learned very quickly is that we were always playing with worn out shuttlecocks. Normally the tell-tale sign being they don't tend do go where you want them to which is caused by the nylon on the tips splitting in places. I'm definitely going to blame the tools on this one negatively affecting my game play! I bought these white Yonex Mavis 300 'blues' which seem to be the same as one of my mates, but his are luminous yellow with a blue ring instead. Essentially they are a rubber coated cork with nylon mesh attached. They seem well made and I've played with a them a few times since I purchased them. They do feel a little heavier/slower than my friends luminous yellow ones but I can't be sure if it's because these are new and less worn or they are slightly different weight. I've only ever played with nylon shuttlecocks so can't compare these to the feathered ones that pros use, but for beginners these seem brilliant to me. A pack of 6 works out at £1.33 each which is really good value and even if they do wear out quickly then it doesn't break the bank replacing them. Unfortunately replacing the shuttlecocks with new ones hasn't improved my play at all. I guess that must mean it's the racket that's faulty then! Pros: - Yonex is a well known brand of badminton kit - Brilliant value - Well made - Pack of 6 Neutral: - I can't work out if they are slightly different weight to my friends old luminous yellow ones. Cons: - None

Ordered these for family to play badminton. Standard all round shuttlecocks. We play for fun so cant comment about speed etc. They were priced competitively at the time of ordering.

I came into the game imagining that the more professional shuttlecocks, made of feathers, would be better for a game of badminton. Naturally, I am no professional and soon found feather shuttlecocks exasperating for a number of reasons. First of all, they are heavier, and slower, which means I have to use more energy than necessary. Secondly, and more importantly, they break really fast. My friends and I went through about 4 or 5 of these professional shuttlecocks in the course of one, only one, hour. As it is only really an intermittent hobby, it is rather impractical to be continually buying new shuttlecocks. I decided that, in my badminton endeavours, I would resort to the lowlier, less professional shuttlecocks made out of nylon. These are faster, lighter and they actually last - for a long, long time. I have made good friends with these 6 shuttlecocks and enjoy their easy-going nature much more than their somewhat overrated pompous cousins. I would recommend these shuttlecocks for anyone who views their badminton as an enthusing game, that is more a hobby rather than a professional sport.
