Worked perfect to replace xgm2-88z1 on Pool cover pump

I had tried an equally rated import, and that replacement failed on my microwave within 2 weeks…then replaced them with these Omron’s. They are designed for the demanding duty of a microwave application. Going strong.

Used these to replace the door switches on my Whirlpool microwave. Simple replacement, worked good. These have slightly smaller terminals than the originals but still work.

Standard size and function. Quick replacement.

Instant microwave fix. It's always a bit unnerving to have the light and fan start running when you open the door of the MW because you think you're being fried. Technically that won't happen if the other switches are working because it'll blow the fuse first.

I have been using OMRON microswitches in copier repair since 1980s. Then they were made in Japan or Korea. When my microwave began to cut out due to faulty door switch(es) I was happy to find these were available at a higher rating (mAH, voltage. These are Double Throw switches. (3 connectors) NOT the "Normally Open" that my and your microwave requires. So I carefully put electrical tape around the "normally open" terminal. Proper safety would be to cut off the extra connector and epoxy and/or tape any exposed metal. one photo shows 3 switches (top and bottom are 3 connector double-throw) other shows old failed switch: the red spring loaded actuator won't pop out unless shaken, so cooking would be interrupted.

Hopefully these OMRON switches will hold up better than the other generic microswitches I used last time. Those melted after a couple of months, so I decided to go with what I hope are genuine OMRON switches this time. Just beware that these have both NO and NC terminals on them, so whichever is not used will be exposed and could be live in use.
