I have a young child who occasionally hits the wall in the garage with the car door. This can become an ugly sight (as well as constantly repairing dings in the wall). We decided to get this product, and it works great. It is an excellent buffer and catches any potential ding to the wall. It's amazing how many times the door has come into contact with this product. This is a great addition to a garage with children in the home.

...but it will protect the wall from soft to medium bumps and will prevent dings and chips. If you really throw your car doors open (or have little people who do), you're still going to have dents with this product, but much less severe.

Measure and draw reference points. Once stuck to the wall it won't come off easy. It will take off the paint.
