worth my money, best gift to my family
This is an attractive, easy to use unit that requires virtually no cleaning or maintenance, unless you make a mess in the pot by not sealing the food bags proper. Put Filet mignon and miso-marinated salmon within 1.5 days of receiving the unit, both of which were absolutely excellent, on the first try!!!!I have been cooking all kinds of things with it the past week, but the big test was two prime-rib roasts for New year. With lots of company coming I wanted it to be perfect. Tender, juicy, a rich pink from edge to edge on the inside and crispy brown on the outside - delicious! Everyone loved it.

I received the sous vide yesterday evening,I can’t wait to do the test, but I haven’t anything in my refrigerator except the one egg left, other meat are frozen in refrigerator. I used the one egg did the test. The first step is find a enough deep box or pot , I used a very deeply plastics box, the problem is I need add a lot water in for sure the wanter can over the MIN. The second step flowed the recipe book , I put the egg in to the water, turn on the power and set the hours and temperature as the recipe book. the active time 5 minutes add 45 minutes, total 50 minutes, I took the egg out, the egg is very tender taste. After the egg taste, I took a chicken breast out from refrigerator and thawed it. This morning I put a little bit salt and Black pepper and a little bit Oliver oil .I used the water displacement method vacuum the air out . I used the plastics food bag which bought from Costco. Then follothe the chicken breast recipe set the temperature and hours.inclued the active time , total cook time 3hours and 5 minutes. I took it out, in order that for sure I can get the original taste, I didn't follow the recipe cook it again. I give the chicken meat to my husband eat first and ask how about the taste ,he said it is very tasty. Yes, it’s yummy! The problem is when I adjusted the hours and temperature, need keep clink the sign , if have a sample way would better. Maybe I need more exercise study the instruction book. I will go to market buy salmon and steak do more test. Anyway, so far so good!

I love this.
I was so excited to received this. Easy and healthy cooking, without actually cooking. It came with a recipe booklet which i thought was a great tool for a newbi. I plugged it in and without using the instructions was able to cooks steak. This thing is great, throw the bag in the water and come back to a meal. Throughout the cooking time i checked the water with a thermomitor, just to double check and it was always right on. IM IN LOVE. Also, I was impressed with the good packaging. If anything happened during shipping, this device was unharmed. Im buying another for my mom who thought sous vides were crazy. I attached mine to a cooler and just cut out a part of the lid, it keeps the temp easier. I brought a good vacuum a couple weeks ago and I’m about to meal prep in the same bags I cook in. So simple and it really saves me time.

No more over cook steak.
In couple friends parties, I had chance to taste the sous vide made steak. They were amazing. The juicy pink steak was very attractive and tasty. My friend told me the steak is very easy to make by sous vide. I checked couple videos on YouTube and found a lot of possibilities for different food by using sous vide. I checked the reviews and the price range, I decide to go for this product. It is a must buy product. I received this and tried my recipe from YouTube, the result is so good. Just put the steak in the bag with spices, and soak in the water. Then set the temperature and wait for 40mins. The steak will become medium. I love this little machine. No failure for over cook again.

Makes the best steaks
After reading all the other reviews, I have to disagree with the instruction issue or maybe I got a different version. That said, I have also read a LOT about these prior to buying.I have made steaks 3 times. First time I overcooked a little and I didn’t like the marinade. Neither one of these problems were caused by the product. Second time marinade was homemade and was better, steaks were done perfectly. Last time I used a store bought marinade which was easier to use and better, but a little more expensive. Again the steaks were done to perfection.I always see are the steaks at the end in a cast iron skillet to give them the look that I like. I’m not sure if I would cook chicken with this due to the appearance. I am looking forward to trying some vegetables.The product came to temperature within minutes when I used hot water. It had no problems keeping the temperature correct for the two hours. The controls Could be more user-friendly. I especially don’t like the fact the power button light goes off when using. You have to remember where it is in order to turn the unit off prior to it timing out.I would highly recommend it and had no problems in set up for use.

I like it
I just received my Immersion Circulator Cooker today...so excited to use it. Have to say the “tiny” information booklet included isn’t helpful in getting one off to a stellar start! The information given did not seem to be accurately inform me how to change from Celsius to Fahrenheit, did e-mail the company who got back to me quickly, press the START BUTTON for 5 seconds to change from C to F, don’t think this is what the booklet says. Anyways.... I’m happy with the way our steak finally turned out...scary moments as I’m not European and did not learn Celsius timing!!! FYI...I’m using a 9qt cooler with a hole cut for the “Cooker” to rest on, my husband made a shim to perfectly hold the Cooker at the precise level, it holds the heat in beautifully, and appeared to not loose water throughout the process. Overall at this time ....so far so good

Great for cooking, melting chocolates, and making sauces
I like how this machine is self contained not need any external devices to make it work. I also am a fan of the hard buttons and intuitive use of them. My only wish is for clip to be metal.The materials given are readable and some commenters have provided helpful tips and suggestions.You may also need a large square (round, if you prefer) plastic container and cover (ping pong balls lining the top layer works great) to hold in the water for those long cooks.

A magical way to cook food
Sous vide makes it impossible to overcook or screw up! I've never tried this style of cooking before, but last night I did a salmon filet for my first try and it was genuinely the best salmon I've ever had (I normally cook it in a cast iron pan, which is pretty good too). The LED touch display and controls are really large, clear, and easy to use. The entire unit itself is bigger than I expected but easily stashes away in a drawer when not in use. I didn't think I needed another kitchen "gadget" but I definitely needed this! Next up I'm going to try steak, and then possibly desserts as well. Make sure to use BPA-free bags to seal your food in!

Not bad - But could use improvement
Bought this to replace another lower-cost Sous Vide that failed on me. Unfortunately, this one is going back.Pros:-Easy to use - good display and clear controls-0.1 degree precision on both setting and display temperatures-Good circulationCons:-High pitched whine when running. I suspect its the circulator motor. Can barely be in the same room when its going. It may be that mine is defective because I don't see any other reviews complaining about it-Temp is definitely low. Mine was ~3 degrees Fahrenheit too low. Measured with more than one probe thermometer that I trust. Didn't check accuracy when using CelciusI wanted this to be another good deal, and I certainly trusted the number of positive reviews, but unfortunately its going back

Great, affordable sous vide
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. The sous vide has a built-in water sensor so it knows when to turn on or not. At first I tried to turn it on without putting in water, at which the device threw an error immediately. I referred to the manual and figure out I need to put in water for it to workI set the water temperature to 55C to see how fast it will heat up. It seems to take 10-15 min to bring a cold water bucket to that set temperature. And after that, it controls the heating to make the water temperature constantNow I can make perfect steak with this one, in combination with my food vacuum sealer.

Great Sous Vide Cooker
The sous vide cooker works quite well, it does a good job at maintaining the water temperature with negligible fluctuations. It gets to temperature fairly quickly and is fairly quiet. The range between the minimum and maximum water level is decently spaced. The unit will throw a warning if the water level is overly too low, otherwise it is not too finicky which works great for dropping in food once it comes to temperature rather then before turning it on. The screen is a capacitive touch style which feels responsive with large and bright buttons/text. The clamp has a good degree of adjustability for different pot sizes, and so far has worked well. The only issue I encountered was the black storage sleeve does not fit with the clamp attached, however this does not really bother me as I did not intend to use it anyways as the heating element is surrounded by a metal shroud. The sous vide cooker also comes with a nice cookbook with different recipes and more notably cooking temperatures and times for different meats.

Perfect Food Everytime
I love this style of cooking . You can't overcook anything ..and everything is perfect. I cooked steaks for 5 hours that came out like butter , perfect pink all the way through . Ive told everyone I know about these sous vide cookers . If it goes on sale get it ..you won't regret it .
