Beautiful Natural Colorant for Soap & Bath Bombs!
This clay adds a beautiful natural muted blue color to soap and bath bombs! You often need a little more of it than other clays for the color to show up well. The package of clay is tinier than you think it will be & it doesn't go far, but it seems all of the natural blue soap colorants (woad, indigo, jagua powder, and this clay) are on the pricey side. For color reference: The soap shown in the photo is a cold process salt bar made with 28 oz of oil & 3 tbsp Cambrian blue clay, added to the hot lye solution. The bath bombs shown (blue ones in the front, near gloved hands) are made with around 2 teaspoons Cambrian blue clay in a recipe containing 1 cup baking soda & 1/2 cup citric acid. (The other colors are purple & yellow Brazilian clays & rose clay.)This clay is also nice in melt & pour soap base - I use around 1/4 to 1/2 tsp in 4 ounces of white soap base, though woad powder or indigo powder gives a bluer blue that I like better in M&P.

No blue color for soap
SOAP MAKERS: if you’re buying this as a blue colorant for cold process soap. Unfortunately it’s totally green. :/A pretty green. But no blue at all. I used all white oils too. Boooo :(

Works great on poison oak!
I fell into a bed of poison oak and was suffering from the result. I tried the usual remedies, calamine, off the shelf medications and everything I could think of. My friend said she uses this clay stuff from Russia. In desperation I tried it and it works ! Fast! and a whole lot of less itchiness!

Great for soap making
I love the blue-grey color this clay added to my soap. I wanted a color that would impart a blue hue to a soap I've named "Ocean." As you can see, the base color is a stormy blue. It also imparts the same qualities as kaolin clay.
