I've been using this container for a long time now and it's been great. The best part is the seal - it’s 100% airtight and leak-proof. I feel completely confident tossing it in my bag without worrying about any spills. One thing to note: if you eat directly out of the container with metal utensils, you'll start to see small scratches at the bottom over time. Aside from that, it’s a high-quality, reliable container that I highly recommend.

I carry lunch to work every day in a soft lunchbox in my backpack. I'm pretty experienced at dealing with leaking containers, even ones that say they're *specifically designed* for soups and stews. I've had to put containers inside ziploc bags, then wipe them off with lots of paper towels when I take them out. So I was looking for a lunch food container that would completely seal and not even drip when shaken around, and could also be microwaved with the lid off. Also, I didn't want to deal with glass, because I carry enough weight in my backpack as it is. I've had four Lock & Lock containers for a few weeks now, two square ones for sandwiches and two round ones for soups, and they are working great so far on all counts. They practically vacuum seal - I actually sometimes have to pull on the lid a bit to release the seal even after unlocking it. There have been no drips whatsoever, and the containers are nice and light. They are indeed microwave-able (with the lids off). They wash up clean and easily, and they're just the right size. The square ones will each hold a normal sized, thick sandwich, or a big serving of stew/rice/veggies, and ones still leaves enough room in my soft lunchbox for a side or two. All in all, solid product and exactly what I was looking for.

Bowing head in shame... I am a lifelong Tupperware junkie. I own WAY too much Tupperware. I have recently learned that Tupperware is revamping their lifetime warranty and several of my prized modular mates were in desperate need of new lids. Tupperware was not willing to help and gave me the run around for months. Despite my many attempts to reconcile with them, I was unsuccessful. Therefore - enter my search for a viable replacement. The lock and lock are PERFECT. HALF the price of overpriced TW and let me share a secret - far more air tight and fresher! They stack just as nicely as my modular mates and are easier to see the contents. They are BPA free and have various shapes and sizes to accommodate most any pantry/cabinet you need to organize. Whats more? You don't need a consultant to order from. I will be slowly but surely incorporating multiple others of this collection in there wide array of sizes and shapes until my pantry is complete.

I thought this was sandwich size but it is too big for that. It’s a great storage container for other things though. I like that it is flat.
