Nubian born Mohammed Mounir is best known for his spicy Arabic pop music, so this album is a bit of a change for him. Drawing upon traditional Sufi music from Egypt, Nubia and the Sudan, Mounir created this album... a sort of Egyptian pop meets spiritual/religious concept album. It works quite well. If you are at all familiar with Islam and Arab culture, the music shouldn't be all that surprising to you. The lyrics speak of peace, healing and unity with God... a good message that many in the West (and back at home in Egypt, for that matter) could learn to take to heart. Moreover, these songs show that Islam is not some monolithic entity stuck in the past. On lively, al-jeel tinged tracks like 'Absheru Ya Shabab,' 'Madad' and 'Ashraka al Badru,' Mounir freely fuses sufi soul, Egyptian pop and Nubian music into a perfect blend. This is Islamic music, but its not just for Muslims; anyone of any faith can find comfort in these songs. At the end of the album, there are instrumental versions of 'Salli Ya Waheb al Safa,' 'Salatullah Ya Mawlay' and 'Allahoo Ya Allahoo,' as well as a German brass band version of the hit 'Madad,' reflecting Mounir's adoptive homeland in Germany... Very interesting cross cultural fusion there, Bavaria meets Nubia, but I like it. I cannot describe in words the kind of impact this album had on me. It is an unbelievable music experience that enters the realm of perfection through the message Mohamed Mounir uses it to carry. I will not pretend to understand the full spectrum of his lyrics but his message is very clear through the title. Tolerance. Submission. Faith. Love. Peace.I have heard stories of the difficulty he faced in putting this together. He faced a lot of resistance for incorporating endless religious references in his songs. Many of the songs were recorded overseas, in Germany and elsewhere. Mounir took a big risk and he continuing to show why he will go down as the greatest Egyptian artist of his time. Many people mock Mounir for his joyous and sometimes silly image but make no mistake about it, this man has an understanding and a vision similiar to Stevie Wonder.This is a must buy for any Arabic speaking person.

Mounir, the real egyptian voice, the voice of the nile, the most honest too....Mounir is origanally from Noba, upper egypt, which is known for special folklore, special dance too. His voice is the original noba voice, this makes him so unique. This album is a great one for the greatest contemprory singer in Egypt...He always know how to be different, He really is..This album is a real new step for him , as u'll find mix between real egyptian music and Soufi music ... An amazing mix...He do have his style and always will.....Although the track "Madad" is the most popular in the album , the album is very rich of great tracks..Listen it, It worth it....
