Functional and easy to use
We got the cat repellent mat for a new couch a week ago. So far, it works great! Both of our cats who otherwise love spending time the on the couch haven’t been noticed anywhere on it with the spiky mat on.The mat is easy to use. The spikes do not hurt but make sitting or sleeping on their surface very uncomfortable, so cats stop even trying to get on furniture when they see the mats.We really love this purchase, works great for us!

Not too bad
I have these behind my TV to cover the wires...i have a chewer! I also put some on chairs in the kitchen. Tricky to get them to stay put on the chairs. It would be helpful to have a solid area on the back to allow for adhesive in applications like that. But, overall, they work pretty good. My chewer likes chewing the spikes tho. So putting them where he can't sit next to them helps. The electronic ones are the best, but not able to use in all areas. A combo is best. My hope is to one day soon to be able to leave these two devils free in the house at night and when gone without fear of them destroying everything! Kittens...wow...! Lol

Best ones I've bought yet
I have some very bad cats. Still, I love them (and am stuck with them as NOBODY else would put up with the terrible things they do) and want us to be able to live together without me completely losing my marbles, so I had to find a kinder and more effective way of getting them to stop destroying every last thing I own other than shrieking at them (and only if I could catch them in the act, and actually, it never worked anyway, they'd always resume their shenanigans when I wasn't around). These spiky things do the trick. They are not the first ones I've bought, but positively, the best. The first set are squares which, contrary to what the vendor says, don't lock together. They slide all over the place, and the cats can easily shove them out of the way--and they do. The second one I bought came as a roll and never flattened out no matter how I stretched it, steamed it, etc, and even now still curls up. I had to pin it down to lay flat across the back of my couch (one of the little demons has established a private bathroom for herself behind it, another likes the access to my shelves on the wall above the couch and everything on them so he can smash, spray, and destroy). These are good size squares with a great lock-together system that works on all sides so different configurations can be made. I put 4 together to make a large square to fit under my desk, and 3 together in a strip to lay across my counter. Once linked together, they stay that way until (easily) separated when desired. I'll be getting more to put across doorways, in front of my stove, and along exposed baseboards in the house (where the Phantom Whizzer strikes most). It's a little like living in Mad Max-land, and I have to be careful not to wander around half-asleep while barefoot, but at least I'm not spending the better part of my time at home patrolling the house swearing, with a roll of paper towels, a trash bag, and a bottle of spray-cleaner.

Doesn't work with my cat
I've had these for about a month now. I bought them to put on my outside patio cushions to keep our hairy cat off of them. I have towels covering them and placed the mats on top of them. Our cat jumps up and keep pushing them off or out of the way until she creates a space for her to lay. I've even seen her sleeping on them. Good idea, but not effective for persistent cats!

Dimensions not as described, not effectice
Ive bought another scat mat type product and loved it. This was definitely not the same. First, the size of rhe product was completely innacurate. The pieces i received were much smaller. I bought them with the intention of keeping my cat off of my counters and away from the front door, and he will just walk all over it. Hes not even a little but phased by the spikes and just stands and walks over them. I dont know how this would really be effective to stop any animal.

The pictures may be a little deceiving.
When I received my mats they were definitely not what I visioned from the pictures. I was thinking the spikes would be longer and the mat wider. A cat can definitely jump over these. I'm thinking these mats as they are will not resolve my problem.

Cat repellent scat mat.
This is an excellent product because it does what it says...………...keeps the cats away from your favorite indoor plant. To bad I didn't find it in time, as they had already ruined it. However, they will find another to chew on, so I have saved the squares which snap together to make the mat as large or small as you may need. The vertical plastic spikes do not break off, so they are offensive to the cat's paws, thus they find something else with which to amuse themselves. This leaves your indoor plants ALONE !!!!!! J. Good Deterrent
I purchased this item after purchasing the same type product from another seller. I have found this product to be somewhat effective and am rating it 4 stars because the product I purchased from another seller had much sharper tips. These have blunter tips and don't work as well. Still, I will keep them to use on my sofas in hopes that the cats will think they are as sharp as others in the house.
