Very nice, better than expected.
I generally don’t write reviews, because it takes time. But I felt like I had to write this positive review, especially after reading some negative ones.I think these are a great cheap alternative compared to the $25 brand name per pair. Here you have 5 pairs and I admit, they are not perfect - they are made in China, come on... but even the expensive brand has issues I’ve read. I lined them up based on their overhang angle and you can see from the picture that once they are sorted by slope you can nicely pair them up by matching the two closest ones at a time. I believe they make a good match. They seem strong, but are slightly smaller than the brand name version. What is really nice is that I measured them and they came out to be about 5.95-5.96 millimeters. This happens to be almost exactly the same size as a 15/64” (=5.953mm) undersized plywood router bit. That means you can do one pass through the wood with the undersized bit and it should tightly fit. Or go through it up and down a few more times to smooth it out a few more thousands.I also manually stress tested them and the seem to hold up under pressure. Though, they are not meant to be going more than 95-100 degrees. I think they are all at around 95 degrees, so even a heavyweight lid should hold because they are only at a slight angle and not take a lot of weight. Also, I had one of these 10 that wouldn’t open nicely, so I just forced it and it just needed some breaking in. It was fine after opening and closing a few times. So, would I put this into a $500+ handmade humidor or jewelry box I am selling professionally, no, probably not. I would probably purchase the expensive pair. For everything else, think these will do fine. One last thing, when you open them I noticed the bottom comes out ever so slightly. Maybe 0.5mm or so. So you will still need to route a slightly deeper groove for the first few millimeters or 1/8-1/4 inch or so, to make sure it doesn’t cause extra stress on the screws. The screws that came with it are tiny and shorter than I would expect, so I don’t know how well they hold under stress. Also not sure what drill bit to use for these. I think they will do fine for hardwood, but I may buy some longer ones and try it out in a scrap piece first.Btw, I’m not a woodworker, just finished my first few boxes and used stop hinges, which are a real pain to route and install. I’m hoping this will be easier.

Good Hinge to Practice Installing Before Installing a Brusso.
Likes: price, about $1.30 per hinge, little less than 3 bucks per pairLikes: speedy delivery.Dislikes: pretty roughly made. I had to file off some excess metal "tags".Dislikes: one of the hinges had some corrosion, but this is only for practice install.Dislikes: the screws are too short. I had to buy longer #2 x 1/2" screws.Dislikes: no instructions regarding installation. I found instruction on a Woodcraft hinges which were pretty close.I have no complaints of the product, I knew what I was getting and what I was using them for.I also use a small bead of Super Glue in the hinge mortise in addition to the longer screws and should hold lid securely.Just keep in mind these are $1.30 hinges and NOT Brusso which cost over $30/pair.You get what you pay for.

Sturdy little hinges
I used these hinges on a keep sake box I made for my grand daughter. I was very pleased with how sturdy the hinge is. They come with screws. While the screws appear to hold the hinge well, I also put a bit of epoxy under the hinge for additional assurance.

work great esp for the price
A little cheesy on the coating but otherwise great. A little bit of play but honestly not bad at all. Will be buying more for all the keep sake boxes Im making for people.

Nice hinges with a firm solid stop at 90 degrees
Nice quality. I doubled these up on a jewelry box with a fairly heavy lid. They're solid and the screws that come with them seem nice as well.

Nice hinges
Very nice quality. Some have said the short #2 screws seemed inadequate. I would agree but easily fixed with a 1/2" #3 screw and a little drilling of the hinge. Love the hinge and will purchase more for the 16 jewelry boxes I am making.

More bang for your buck
These are very affordable, well made little hinges. The price is beyond fair. I am very satisfied with this purchase.
