Excellent Ear Tips for the Jaybird X3
I have the Jaybird X3 wireless earbuds. The original ear tips that came with my earbuds were great, the soft foam tips that are similar to foam ear plugs. Unfortunately, those original eartips did not last long. The soft foam tends to breakdown easily. I do prefer these form ear tips over the rubber type. After researching the different types of ear tips I settled on the ALXCD ear tips. These came with 3 pair of tips and a lint free cloth. I’ll be honest with you, I simply went with price and compatibility when I bought theses tips. I’m glad I settled with these ear tips. They’re perfect! They fit well, appear to be made of high quality and they’re exactly what I was looking for.

Much, much better than the factory ones.
I have the Jaybird X3s and went through every single one of the pieces that came with it within 6 months due to them either falling off or falling apart. I was very hesitant to purchase these at first because of how cheap they are compared to the actual replacement ones. I am super happy I did, not only are these staying on the earpiece (Jaybird has a terrible design for holding the pieces in place) but they are holding up. The sound deadening of these replacements is at least 50% better than the ones that came with the X3s to begin with. I will absolutely repurchase when I need to replace again.

No substitute for Comply Sport tips
I purchased both the Zotech and ALXCD Jaybird replacement tips in hopes of finding a cheaper alternative to the Comply Sport tips I've grown accustomed to. Unfortunately, neither does the job.First off, neither has SweatGuard to protect the driver. You can see straight down the hole to the metal. I'm not sure if that's potentially damaging, but I imagine if sweat gets down there, it could at the very least affect performance.More importantly, neither molds to your ear canal the way Comply does. This is easily tested by squeezing the different tips and seeing how long they take to return to form. The ALXCD tips are the worst. They bounce right back, pretty much instantly. I couldn't get even a slight seal using the same size tips I buy from Comply (medium). The Zotech tips are slightly better, taking maybe a second to recover. I got a little more bass, but none of the occlusive effect "thump" that you hear when walking or running with a good seal. The Comply tips take a good 5-10 seconds depending on how hard you squeeze them. This is annoying when you're waiting for them to grab your ear canal so you can get on with your life, but it pays off in a reliable seal that only gets better after you warm up.So there goes $14 on a failed experiment, which I don't regret considering I'm about to plop down another $20 for three sets of Comply Sports tips.

Good replacement for Jaybird X3 foam earbud tips, but wear off as fast
I love my Jaybird X3 headphones for both everyday listening and workouts; the headphone are very durable, but I went through the earbud tips fast. The smooth silicone/rubber earbud tips were OK, but in time the silicon softened, they become `loose` and I gradually lost them. The foam ones basically disintegrate in a couple of weeks of wear, so I needed a replacement. The ALXCD earbud tips fit perfectly my Jaybird X3, but are quite different from the original ones (medium size). The ALXCD ones are a little larger in diameter and shorter; the material is denser and smoother. Since they are a little wider and stiffer than the original ones, the medium size is a little too big for my ears. But the earbuds become more comfortable with time, since the material gets softer with wear. Also, since the surface is smoother than for the original ones, the ALXCD earbud tips tend to get slippery if you have a sweaty ear/workout.The earbud tips provide some noise isolation, but they are not noise cancelling; that's great for me because I still want to be aware of the noises around me when I walk, hike or run.The earbuds can be easily cleaned, but I don't use water; I use isopropyl alcohol to disinfect regularly the headphones, including the earbud tips. This product comes with a tiny fiber cleaning cloth which is actually handy for wiping electronics in general. The ALXCD earbud tips still splits and tear after a couple of weeks of wear, and the wear starts to be visible even from the first wears. But that happens with the original earbud tips as well, I got to consider the Jaybirds X3 tips as a consumable. I would still say they are slightly more durable than the original bud tips.
