Skip Hop Baby Play Mat, Reversible Foam Floor Mat, 86" x 52", Little Traveler's

I looked at a lot of different mats and read a lot of reviews before realizing I was just going to have to take a chance on one. I’m so glad I did! This mat is great! The child side is vibrant and fun! It’s soft enough that I don’t worry about my baby’s head during tummy time. It wipes off easily which is great because my dogs apparently love it too. They will sit as close as they can get to us while still being on the mat. It kind of cracks me up. My husband doesn’t bother putting down a yoga mat for work outs any more. He just uses this one. I love that it’s easy on the knees and bottom when I’m down playing with my girl. The whole family loves the mat. It also stops our little baby swing from scooting around when it’s on the mat. Nothing I’ve set on the mat (including the feet of a solid wood coffee table) has left a mark. The foam bounces back as it should. I’m so glad I got this mat! Definitely worth the money.My negatives do not at all take away from my satisfaction because they are minor and unimportant, but I want to share for you consideration.1. The adult side is okay, but not what I was picturing. There is a texture to the mat that I assume has something to do with the functionality/durability of the foam. I don’t mind this texture on the kid size, but I don’t like it on the adult side. For some reason, my brain reads the texture on the adult side as cheap because I want to compare it to my furniture and rugs. It’s definitely not cheap, but I think I will only ever use the kid size. That being said, having the option to flip it over when company is over or if that’s the look you want in a living area is great. It’s just my brain making unnecessary connections.2. You can’t use it right away. It wanted to curl, so I had to have it curl down for a week before it flattened out. It also has a scent from being in a plastic bag for so long. This scent took about a week to fully dissipate without assistance as well. It isn’t a forever scent. This doesn’t bother me, but I know some people can get frustrated when something isn’t immediately as they had pictured.

I’m so happy with this purchase!While not exactly “cheap”, I purchased it while on a tiny sale and with my baby registry 15% off, so that helped.But I’m happy with the quality and thickness.There’s no smell or other issues to report so far on my end.Babyboy and his parents enjoy spending time with him on the mat.Plus I just love the vibrant colors/prints, it’s a joy to look at!Also, so far my cat has not put her nails into it, but for extra precaution I put a blanket on it at night in case she gets the zoomies.

We bought this mat for in our play room to be used with our Nugget couch so if the baby were to tumble off the couch he would land on something soft. We have had spills on this mat and it is so easy to clean we legit were able to use a wipe and a paper towel and handle a sticky juice mess. This mat is incredibly well made, durable and has such a cute design that my kids actually want to play with it! We have done animal parades down these streets and raced cars on them. Oh and it's double sided so you can change up the scenery for your kids, too!! Would definitely recommend for little ones. Totally worth every penny!

I was looking for a playmat that would be easy to clean (unlike the foam puzzle pieces that absorb liquids and have cracks for tiny things to get trapped in) and also was not an eye sore. This was the winner. I have it displaying the gray side, but I like that it doesn't detract from the room it's in. Sturdy enough for learning walkers, but soft enough also for learning walkers. Very pleased!

The mat is soft and cushy. I’ve ordered a mat directly from skip hop about 5 years ago, I feel like it was a little thicker, but this one will do. Overall great for wild toddlers and small babies doing tummy time.

My best friend gave this as a baby shower gift and since it matches with our white furnitures on both sides of the mat (and the design is cute and chic), I decided to get another one myself when it was on sale ($65). I love that it’s not too thin or thick and the print definitely adds a playful vibe in the house. While I’m very satisfied with this product, I took off one star for two reasons:1) Without sale, this mat is over $100 and it’s too expensive for its size.2) It’s difficult to clean through the crease and I really have to dig in to get the food crumbs out.I cleaned the mat with Seventh Generation disinfectant wipes at least once a week but it does turn yellowish after one year. At least you can’t tell it turned yellow unless I put two mats side to side (I put one in the living room and one in the baby room). Since my toddler likes playing and reading on this mat, I’ll buy another one if it’s on sale for $65 again!
