Succinct actionable content
Another great book from Damon Zahariades. I appreciate that he's extremely clear and to the point, no fluff. I read through this book once, but I intend to read through it again soon and journal alongside it. I especially want to return to the section on creating a compelling why.I enjoyed the overview of the goal-setting paradigms already on the scene. It's obvious that the PRIMER method has been well-thought out, with attention given where some other systems appear lacking. The section on what to do if you fail to achieve a goal is also useful. Many goal-setting systems put blinders on when it comes to people who don't achieve their goals. Unfortunately, not talking about it doesn't make it go away!

Clear guide to goal setting!
This book details the author’s own approach to setting and achieving goals. But first, he outlines other goal setting methods and evaluates each. This book is clearly written and presents a doable, if semi-labor-intensive, method to achieving one’s goals in addition with what to do if one fails to meet a goal. Quick read - I’m looking forward to trying the P.R.I.M.E.R. Method on my own goals in the near future.

OK, but not as good as some of his other books.
Well, if it works for him, OK. However, there are a lot more books describing more powerful ways to set and achieve goals. Some goals are "change" goals that affect your life and lifestyle. Those require a more psychological program for permanent change, like "Well-Formed-Outcomes" used in NLP, or the "Transtheoretical Model for Change" conceived by James Prochaska and John Norcross. Other goals are achievement or milestone goals that are done once and either accumulated ( like a college degree), or assimilated into your lifestyle. Some goals are skills, and maintenance goals are different from project goals and not addressed in this book. This book completely ignored the utility of PERT/CPM and the insights learned from project management disciplines. This book also ignored the power of micro goals and taking small steps to achieve large goals.I recognize that this is a how-to brochure being marketed as book, but I am annoyed that there are no footnotes, endnotes, bibliography, or index.

Dan Good Book!
This book tied together several of the best goal-setting methods currently in use and simplified them. This book addresses the need that I had in understanding how to plan goals and measure progress.I will be ordering some of the other books this author has written.

Simple and Practical
I like the top 10 goal system compact and practical description and highlights strong and weak points. PRIMER basically the strongest points from known systems, which is support better the human mental behavior. PRIMER System is easy to use any type of goal, practical and simple, easy to understand trough examples, clear guide to achieve our goals. I like the author practical approach. I definitely recommend.

Every time I read one of your books I evolve; I become greater, and I will be forever grateful.
Thank you Damon! I particularly liked and have implemented into my career, both, the milestones checklist; ticking a box for every time I achieve a monetary goal; starting from £1000 ticked, and at the middle of my milestone checklist (aiming for within 1 year) £500,000 and at the top of my milestone checklist (aiming for within 2 years) £1,000,000. I have also, as advised, calculated the data on how this achievable, and knowing that it is achievable is a nice feeling to have, and by extension boosting motivation and decreasing the high pressure that comes with careers. And the latter; the weekly review, as advised - I will now every Friday review the data relative to my milestones checklist. …And I thank you. Every time I read one of your books I evolve; I become greater, and I will be forever grateful.

Quick read and straight to the point, with practical, non-sensationalist ideas
This is a great read for people who don't want to spend a whole weekend and go through 300 pages to learn about goal setting theory. It takes you through the whole process of goal setting with a very practical approach based on the author's method. It doesn't make sensationalist statements like a lot of productivity books today. The chapters are short, clear and simple, yet filled with great advice and insights. Granted, they are not groundbreaking, but they helped me find clarity.
