BUNN CSB2B Speed Brew Elite 10-Cup Coffee Maker, Black/SST

I purchased this Bunn coffee maker for 3 reasons: 1. It has a metal reservoir. 2. It brews quickly (we are a caff/decaf mixed household so it allows separate brews in the morning) and 3. It is made in the USA. If your motivations align with the above, you will be happy with your purchase as those pros outweigh the negatives, all of which stem from any prior experience you’ve had with a typical drip coffee maker. The design of the filter basket is why the brew cycle is shorter. Rather than the typical gasket/spring arrangement, the Bunn basket has a simple hole that allows the water to filter through the basket quickly. This not only speeds up the process, but because the grinds are not swimming in water for any length of time, I noticed that the coffee is less bitter and I could almost go without my normal cream. HOWEVER, it does require that you use a fine grind coffee and you actually use a tablespoon for each cup of water. Essentially, I had to upgrade my coffee and double the amount that I use. I also found that the decaf coffee was weaker than the regular coffee even with using the full recommended number of Tablespoons. I was able to equalize it by using 2 coffee filters to slightly slow down the drip without adding bitterness, and yes, use the Bunn filters. They are just a bit taller. Some people objected to the water heater running when not in use. I compromise and turn the water heater off after all the morning coffees have been brewed and turn it on again in the evening when I would normally be setting up my older auto brew drip coffee maker. The set up is clear in the “quick” set up instruction, regular instructions, and taped warnings on the unit itself to READ THE INSTRUCTIONS before you plug it in. The water reservoir needs to be filled completely before you plug it in. The pour spout on the carafe is a bit odd looking, but it works, so not an issue. All in all I am satisfied with this coffee maker. With the correct grinds, it produces hot, smooth coffee and it looks good on the counter😊

So far, wow! I was unsure as to whether or not I would like how this coffee maker functions but I have to say that after only a couple of days of use, the functionality has grown on me and has made me wonder where it’s been my whole life. Simple and effective, it’s a game changer as far as speed and brewing capabilities are concerned. A full, 10 cup pot brewed in literally under 4 minutes. Not only that, but it’s some of the tastiest electric drip coffee I’ve ever had at home. It brews a really good cup paired with a good grinder. I use the Fellow Ode Gen2. I love that perfect temperature water is always at the ready to quickly make up a batch of coffee. I’d buy this all over again for sure. However, it costs $139.99 USD as of this writing. Do I believe it’s a coffee maker worth that kind of money? Initially I would have said no and that it’s crazy talk to even consider it but now that I’ve used it and tasted the resulting, delicious, coffee, this machine is worth every penny. If you are in the market for a new coffee machine and if this is within your budget and you’re on the fence about the purchase, just do it. It’s a good machine that makes good coffee.

Enjoy the speedy brew time of the Bunn Elite. The black and chrome accents are attractive and go with all decor. The power switches have a bright, pleasant blue glow making it easy to find in the early mornings dim light. Highly recommend.

Best coffee maker we've ever owned. There's a slight learning curve because of the way it maintains a reservoir of hot water for near-instant brewing, but I'd definitely buy it again.

We love our coffee! When I want coffee, I want it now, not 30 minutes from now. We bought our first Bunn about 30 years ago and loved it. We have had one ever since! I have found that they last between 8 and 14 years, so a great dependable product. This is our 4th I believe. A pot of coffee takes about 2 minutes. We measure the amount of coffee and the amount of water fairly precisely, and every cup is perfect. You can make a full pot or scale it back to about 4 cups. If you try to make just 1 or 2 cups there is a little inconsistency due to the amount of evaporation that occurs in keeping the water hot continuously. I will remind you to turn off both switches if you are going out of town or not making coffee for a week or more. The Bunn will keep the water hot and as it gradually evaporates it can get low enough to cause the element to fail. Cleaning is not difficult and for us is done about twice a year. I have never used a timer because our schedule rarely is predictable. Thank you Bunn!

I have only had this coffee maker a few days, but can honestly say I am happy with it. I wanted simple, and this is pretty simple--no programming PROS: It is a BUNN, it is a company that has been around 'forever' and having been in the restaurant industry, I know they are dependable and sturdy. The coffee drips right from the basket in to the carafe-- there is no spring between the carafe and basket. Brews a fast HOT pot of coffee. I like the little extra 'guide', small piece of plastic that helps guide the coffee in to a cup-not on the counter. CONS: In order for fast brewing the water stays HOT. The unit is HOT in the back and on the sides. I store it under the counter, and realize I need to pull it away from the wall. I placed the unit on a 'slider' to protect the counter. I feel like I had to buy their filters--the basket is 'taller' and using a standard size paper basket resulted in coffee being splashed and grounds getting in the coffee pot. NEUTRAL: The cord is short--and very sturdy. It is not the least expensive--it is in a league of it's own and 'so far' I am not regretting the purchase.

This is the best choice you can make for a delicious and speedy fresh drip coffee full with all the flavors, aroma and at the right temperature, in every single cup! I bought this model after careful attention and spécification comparaisons between the top brands and to replace a Zojirushi Coffee maker that was still working but was extremely noisy and messy as it tended to clog after more than a year, even after having changing the filters or following the right cleaning process. The first main difference with this coffee maker comes from design, not only does the aesthetics looks great, compact and modern, but technically it brings a whole new concept by providing a permanent repository of hot water which makes your fresh cup of coffee available at any time in a matter of a few seconds - without the noise or mess- and at the perfect exact amount as measured by cups. Equal inputs, will always get you exact equal outputs….which is great! There is a different control button if you want to keep the coffee hot for some time but beware of leaving it too long as it will dry out and affect the acidity of your cup. If I have to mention one single inconvenience of this model it would be the design of the carafe itself. It has a plastic removable cover which allows to pour in a direct and fast flow into the cup without any spilling but the elegant shape happens to be too bulky making it impractical to use for refilling the water compartment or even getting rid of the remaining old coffee as you have to almost turn it upside down completely to get rid of the contents; this also makes cleaning the carafe annoying despite you will be able to get used to it after some practice. Perfectly functional and elegantly crafted the stainless steel touches ad a modern touch and it looks great on my granite countertop. I also bought some of the bar silicone area pads to protect the working space of my coffee station so I have no worries while creating the perfect excellent cup of coffee at every attempt! I would strongly recommend this model, it is a bit on the expensive side, but it is fully worth the value!

I’ll be honest—I hated this coffee maker at first because it’s a little different from the typical drip machines I was used to. The setup and process took me a couple of tries to really understand. But once I got the hang of it, I absolutely love it now. It brews coffee super fast, which is perfect for my busy mornings while working from home, and the flavor is consistently great. The build feels solid and durable, and it keeps up really well with daily use. Now that I know how to use it properly, it’s become a staple in my routine and I actually look forward to making my coffee each day.

J’avais une cafetière Tim Hortons depuis une vingtaine d’années qui a rendu l’âme. J’ai trouvé cette cafetière de la même marque. Elle est un très bon remplacement et fonctionne de la même façon en plus d’être plus attrayante. Je l’aime bien car elle me permet d’avoir aussi de l’eau chaude à une bonne température pour me faire du thé ou des tisanes .

Absolutely love this coffee make. Was r replacing my Tim Hortons coffee maker which started leaking from the bottom. Was really hoping that it brewed a pot of coffee as fast as they said. It did!! I am not patient in the morning waiting for my coffee lol. Not only is it fast, but it brews an excellent cup of coffee. And looks great on my counter. Get many compliments on it!

Works as every Bunn does. 3-4 pots a day and always is constantly good. Pricey but won't let you down.

We have been faithful Bunn users for many years. When our last Bunn coffee maker stopped working we were definitely going to replace it with another Bunn. We are very pleased with the looks and function of our new coffee maker. The chrome look accents catch your eye and the Bunn quality shines through. Even when not used for a week the water retention level does not change. The coffee is always hot when brewed and the unit is easily cleaned with a damp cloth. I would definitely purchase this coffee maker again.
