Shea Moisture Low Porosity Protein Free Shampoo, 13 Ounce

Subtracted a star for this smell. Seriously, I will never be able to use the leave-in detangler because of how strong and terrible the smell.It works extremely well as a shampoo. Part of that is because it keeps my hair defined even while I'm cleaning, but part of it is because the smell is so bad it's easy for me to tell when it's all out because I'm like Lady Macbeth over here.

This is what my hair needed all this time, the smell is different but you get used to it, up to the point where you kind've prefer it. When you see your low porosity bouncy, with curls and soft after 1 wash, instead of brittle, dry and almost breaking after regular washes you know you made a good choice.

I did the big chop in December 2017 and have been trying out different products to find what helps bring out my natural curls best. I have 4c hair and it can get drier than the Sahara! I bought this shampoo a while ago but had yet to use it because I was using a different shampoo and conditioner lto preserve my hair color after dyeing it blonde. Finally decided to give this shampoo and conditioner a try as my hair has just felt so thirsty and dry even with weekly deep conditioning. After I put the shampoo in I immediately felt like my hair was so much softer and moisturized; the conditioner had the same effect and it smells good and has a nice tingling feel to it! I’ll definitely be adding this shampoo/conditioner combo into my cleansing rotation maybe once or twice a month I think.

The greatest shampoo I’ve ever used. I have VERY low porosity hair, the only way I’m able to even use conditioner on my hair is to bleach my hair a lot. I swear this is the first shampoo that’s ever gotten my hair clean. Really weird scent, it’s almost kind of cinnamon or cloves but it’s an awesome shampoo. I’m a customer for life!

Worked really well for me. I love the fact that I have really thick 3C/4a hair and I only need about a quarter sized amount of shampoo. Love the smell. I saw a difference after just one wash. The only reason I’m not giving this five stars is because though I saw a difference it wasn’t significance. I have really thick low porosity hair and it worked for most of my hair but for the really dry parts it seemed like it did little to nothing. I’m not sure if this is the type of product that takes some reusing to fully see it’s affects. I guess we’ll see. The price was also perfect. Usually she’s moisture’s kind of expensive so I’m glad I got for this price.

I have fine curly hair, and this shampoo is wonderful and nourishing. I only use it maybe 2-3 times a week. I squish2 condish with the Shea Moisture Baobab & Tea Tree Oils Low Porosity Protein-Free Conditioner all the other days. I also use the conditioner as a leave-in styler.

I love Shea Moisture products! They contain no SLS or artificial fragrances, and the brand is very ethical in its practices. This shampoo smells very good and cleans hair thoroughly. I highly recommend.

This works great to cleanse my low porosity dry hair. Need to use a deep conditioner after. But the smell is lovely and it cleanses well.
