Asian Sizes and the US mentality
I don't have this specific pair of pants, but I have plenty of GDR clothes. I've gained weight since my purchase previous, but always remember Asian sizes are not the US sizes, they are much smaller. Asians are much slimmer and more narrow of hip. Their clothes reflect this. Always order at least 2 sizes, if not more, up. I generally purchase XXL, and I run a large. They have smaller rises on the pants (the area from crotch to the back of the pants), thus, they'll fit a little lower and be more narrow than expected. These types of pants don't have a "stretch" like we're used to in the US. We may be a size 7 or 13, but we build it upon the pants being very forgiving in its 'stretchiness' sometimes. It is always best to go by measurements, not what size you're used to. Measure your loosest pair of pants, without stretching (and fit you wisely) and go by those inches. I am about a 36in for a waist. They go by CM, so convert carefully. Don't let it get to you "mentally" if you are normally an XS or L in the US, but in these sizes L or even 3XL. It's simply a difference in cultures and body types. We could be as thin as possible, and they'd still list theirs somehow smaller. If you ever order punk gothic clothes, be sure to remember most are from Asia, or from the UK. The most important part of measuring is the hips area (it has to fit over your thigh and hip area). It is always better to order another size that may be slightly big, rather than too small. Big can either be shrunk (but be careful in putting too much heat in, as they shrink fast if you do) by drying them, or can be altered at a shop. You can't fix too small.
