Poor execution of a good idea
The backpack is sold as being made of higher quality materials, but it comes up short on usability. My original order had to be returned because the zipper of the main compartment would get stuck in line with the side pocket. Unfortunately, the replacement has the same issue. This appears to be a flaw in the design, and not a quality control issue, as the point at which the zipper gets stuck has material from the pocket on the inside that is likely interfering. That’s a significant miss for a product being sold as having high quality zippers. Whatever advantage might be gained with YKK zippers is overshadowed by a design flaw preventing proper operation.Aside from this nonstarter defect, the backpack had a few quality issues where threads were loose and of the wrong color. My only other concern is the limited amount of padding for the laptop compartment. The backpack has “20% more padding” in the shoulder straps, but that clearly comes at the expense of having almost no padding for the laptop. So, it’s not actually “more padding”, it’s reallocated. Really inexpensive backpacks have more padding for the laptop, so I’m at a loss for why this design skimped on that.If the design flaw is corrected and the quality control is improved, this could be a decent backpack. As is, it’s not worth the hassle of a likely return. I recommend pursuing alternatives until future revisions establish a higher level of confidence in usability and quality.
