If you want to record conversations covertly this is the best product you can find at the price point. The magnet is very strong and once you have it fixed in place it doesn't shift or move at all. The longest I left it recording was 4 days. I had it behind a layer of fabric and it recorded clear audio.

Extremely easy to use wonderful quality battery life is amazing I purchased three of these items and they work wonderful the battery in the storage on the memory card last forever and there is videos on YouTube that help with ease of use for modifications.

Putting the micro sd card in sometimes it gets stuck other wise great little device handy flash light on it.

I just received this yesterday and have spent a few hours testing it. Result: not usable.I tried various MP3 settings. The audio was always distorted ... too much high frequencies (like the treble is turned up all the way) which causes a lot of clipping distortion. Even with "amplifie" turned down all the way, the problem still exists. So ... not usable for MP3 recording.I tried some WAV settings. It creates files in the directory, but when I try to play them (using 3 different programs) I always get an "invalid file format" error message ... they can not be played at all. So ... not usable for WAV recording.The options listed in the manual do not correspond to the options in the machine's menu.I'd love to talk to the designers and explain some of the specific details about the problems ... they obviously "don't get it" right now.BOTTOM LINE: DO NOT BUY! From the specs and the manual, it looked like this would be a very capable and versatile recorder. Instead, it's a magnetic paper weight. Absolutely NOT USABLE for any kind of recording.

I really wanted this to work but this was too difficult to figure out even after testing several settings over a series of several days. I thought "voice activation" meant that it would record until the conversation ended (silence for a set number of minutes) and resume recording when the conversation resumed. I thought playback would be a series of recordings throughout the day.Must be "ejected" from computer each time or it won't even work and settings file won't set.It is not "voice activated". It would record when turned on until it was quiet (in the room or car) for 3 minutes and then it would turn off and not turn back on until it was either turned off and then turned on again or connected to the computer and then "ejected".Pros:-Extremely long battery life (but maybe that's because it wasn't recording anything)-Strong magnet holds tight under car seat-Red light on so you know it's connected via usb-Option setting to blink when recording (but light is faint)-Small, fits in hand, can be placed discreetly-Comes with a micro usb card reader-Comes with a usb charging cordCons:-Not "voice activated"-Stops recording after silence for 3 minutes and does not resume when conversation resumes-Button has a short in it and even though it is pressed it doesn't work many times-Where the power cord attaches, it seems to have a little play in it and it has to be set just right to be charging or connected to the computer-Blue blinking recording light is faint and the device needs to be tilted at just the right angle to view the blinking light through the tiny lights viewing window.-Even though date and time is set in the settings file and the usb device is "ejected" which activates the settings, the date was correct, but the time was off.-When plugged in with usb, it doesn't always detect the device-Micro card is very difficult to remove. It gets stuck in the device

Very well thinked, high sensitivity, adustable parameters but default parameters are good.Very longtime autonomus on battery and recording.I have succeeded in setting the date, but not the exact time. The manual is not quite clear, "The update is made on exit of SDcard ???"

Couldn't get to set it up. The card & flash drive that came with it couldn't fit into it & I didn't know what to buy so just didn't able with the stress of having to figure it out
