Great when you have infants
The Summer Infant Comfy Bath Sponge is a great option for parents who prefer to give their infants a bath in the sink. The sponge provides a soft and comfortable surface for babies to relax on, without slipping or sliding around. It's easy to use and clean, making bath time a breeze. Additionally, it's priced affordably and provides good value for the price. While it may not last for an extended period of time, it serves its purpose well and is a must-have for new parents.

Great idea and we love it!
I love this sponge and started buying it for baby shower presents! I actually use this in a plastic infant tub but it made me feel like our newborn was much more secure and comfortable than laying on slippery plastic and it makes it easier to handle him since the sponge kind of grips him. Also he likes it much better since it holds the warm water in and keeps his back warm while bathing. It made a sponge bath easier before his imbilical cord fell off since it kept him warmer even when he couldnt be slighty submerged in a real bath like he is now. The only downside is that we've only been using for 2 months and i don't see it lasting past six months because it's already thinner and pretty dirty looking even though we always clean and rinse it after a bath. But it's incredibly cheap and I doubt we'd use it past 6 months anyway so it's still worth it for sure. I'll be buying again for any future kids!

So when my daughter had her first shower I purchased this along with a clothes basket full of my favorite baby items & clothes
I used almost the exact same item 25 yrs. ago for my kids. Being an RN I knew I needed something more than the average baby tub even by today's standard for tubs! So when my daughter had her first shower I purchased this along with a clothes basket full of my favorite baby items & clothes. She told me after the shower she didn't think she'd need it since she received 2 different tubs. I laughed to myself & told her to just hang on to it anyway. Well, after my grand daughter was born this giant sponge ( 19 inches long) became a daily staple at bath time! It's very nice & dense (but soft) foam. It fits about any tub & works great in the sink. The best thing is that it keeps your precious one from slipping & sliding which can cause bath time to be a scary experience, not fun to deal with at all! My daughter still uses it 11 months later for her to sit on in the tub. It's super easy to keep clean, you just rinse, gently squeeze out excess water then roll in a towel to remove even more water, it dries much quicker this way. You can spray with peroxide on both sides & let it sit about 5 minutes then rinse & towel dry if it makes you feel better, but I'd only do that monthly or if it started smelling musty, but have never had that problem when cared for properly. You can also wash it in the dishwasher if it makes you feel better, not sure I'd allow it to dry in the dishwasher though. My daughter now buys these for her friends who are having babies & I still purchase them for my younger 2nd cousins & friends daughters for their showers. You can't beat the price & good luck trying to find them in a store! Go ahead, get one, no matter how expensive or fancy the tub I guarantee you will use it & love it & so will your infant! Bath time should be a positive, safe & fun experience for you & baby, this WILL do just that!

I agree with other reviews that it's a great price that can be easily replaced if it gets ...
So far, this works for me! I bought a collapsible tub with an infant support that seems to be too "curved" and hard for my infant. It did not provide the right support and she was constantly slipping. I searched and searched and came across this. This is not slippery, able to provide the proper support during the bath, it's soft, and still keeps my baby warm. The only thing for me is that it's a bit wide at 12.5 inches. It fits into the baby tub perfectly but leaves no room on the sides to scoop any water onto my baby. I would have to scoop from the end of the tub. This could also be because the collapsible tub I own is narrower than regular baby tubs. I may consider trimming it since it's just sponge. I agree with other reviews that it's a great price that can be easily replaced if it gets torn or worn out. The sponge is about 2" thick which provide a great soft support but it's quite heavy to ring out when soaked with water.

Perfect for what I needed
I needed a new baby bath tub per husbands request and I refused to spend a lot of money. We had a tub but my husband was insistent the new baby needed a new tub. When I found this bath sponge, I could have not been happier. First it is cheap! And I bought it intending to throw it away when my baby no longer fits in it. It's perfect for a small baby that doesn't sit up, and you just want to put them in the tub or an over sized sink with a few inches of water. I just wring it out when I am finished and hang to dry. I have no intentions of keeping it once the baby doesn't fit so I am not worried about how you really cannot clean it and the fact that its just foam and will fall apart eventually.Seriously, this would make an incredible shower gift too, there is NO NEED for an expensive baby bath. I wish I had found this with my first child! I will recommend this baby bath sponge to anyone who is looking for a baby tub solution. I highly recommend!

Must have for newborn baby!!!!!!
Love this!! This is absolute must for anyone with a newborn baby. I bought a baby tub but this is really all I need until the baby is able to hold his own head up and is a little less fragile and squirmy. I bought two of these, place them side by side in my regular bath tub ( without sitting water of course) and soak the sponges with warm water. Then I place baby on sponge and start washing him. For one, he can’t slide off of it, two, because he’s in a regular tub he’s in a contained low space rather than in a tub on a counter top and I feel I have more control and can move him from side to side to wash his back and back of his head, and it’s easier to keep him warm by placing warm wet washcloths on him while I’m washing his hair or any other part. Lastly, when he’s nice and warm he pees right into the air and it doesn’t matter because I can rinse it away immediately like this. Even if he pooped, it would be an easier on the spot rinse away than in a baby tub. I tried bathing him in an infant tub the first two times and it was just awkward and definitely with more risk for something not going well. Also they are so cheap, that you can replace them anytime you think you need to.

Best investment in bath time
I bought this for $3.12 here so I really can’t complain if it didn’t work BUT this little sponge helped me soooooo much that I have to give myself a pat on my back for buying it!! Baby will not slide in the tub at all so I really got to enjoy the bath time with my little one!!!The reason I even thought about buying this was that I hurt my back every time I bathed my niece when babysitting. I was constantly worrying about her sliding because she did! So for my baby I just needed something to help me keep the baby safe. She’s almost 8 months and we stopped using it a while ago because she can sit in the water by herself. I would say I used it for a good 6 mo+ each bath time. After the bath, I just squeezed the water out and left it on the baby tub to dry. Once in a while I put it in the washer to give quick rinse and spin just because I had the time to do it.I don’t bubble bath for my baby, I just shampoo and rinse in tub. So only soap that’s in the tub is from rinsing her hair. I keep running water the whole time so water recycles itself so I’m not too worried about washing this item vigorously.
