Interesting, but...
Very interesting case made for the correct location of the Temple. As Jesus foretold, the Second Temple was completely demolished and its location rendered unidentifiable. But at the location of the Gihon Spring in the City of David archaeologists (not the author) have discovered the ruins of the First (Solomon's) Temple which was also the location of the Second Temple. Therefore the only thing preventing the construction of the Third Temple is the mindset that has resulted in the Jews worshipping God at the foundation of the Roman fort which they presume is the location of the Temple. But unfortunately that location is under the control of the Muzlums and they will never relinquish that site. The reason I gave this book four stars is twofold. Firstly the presentation of the case for the location for the temple was disorganized and repetitive. I expected a better presentation from one who repeatedly boasts of his investigator skills for court testimony. The diagrams were small and few. The book seems hastily written.Secondly a good portion of the book that was not as disorganized or repetitive was the author's attempt to convince the reader of the location of the Ark of the Covenant in Ethiopia. Although the author presents some interesting circumstantial evidence, he does not answer the question of WHY the Ark would be located there. As a criminal investigator Cornuke has not provided a MOTIVE for the Ark to be located in Ethiopia. As an investigator he presents only one hypothesis, so his conjecture may mot be as solid in the presence of conflicting testimony. I am referring to the story of the discovery by Ron Wyatt of the Ark under the crucifixion site which he also claims to have discovered. Wyatt describes how at that site the actual blood of Christ dripped from the split rock onto the Mercy Seat below. The discovery by Wyatt (an archaeologist) has a much more powerful motive for the Ark at that location - the atoning blood of Lamb of God being placed on the Mercy Seat. Also, if I remember correctly from the teachings of Chuck Missler, Solomon made a replica of the Ark for the purpose of a decoy (citation needed). Solomon was involved with Ethiopia and may have delivered the replica to them. The Ark in Ethiopia may be a replica.Had this section of the book about the Ark been omitted, or even better had he presented both archeological findings citing the pros and cons of each, then it would have been an extremely worthwhile addition to the overall presentation. However since he is not an archaeologist he is relying on the work of others. The one-sided "locked in" mindset is what the essence of the book is supposedly addressing yet in his discussion of the Ark the author perpetuates that very thing.

Fascinating and intriguing. Staggering Implications.
TEMPLE reads like a modern mystery tale, but it’s actually a nonfiction account of an archaeological discovery so significant, that it may alter the political landscape of the Middle East.Bob Cornuke, the Indiana Jones of the Bible world, has done it again. Using clues embedded in the Bible text itself, Cornuke has undertaken a fresh investigation into the actual location of the Temple in Jerusalem. And once again, these efforts were rewarded. Cornuke has brought to light new discoveries that have world-shaking ramifications; details which might lead to the immediate rebuilding of Jewish temple. The armchair archaeologists are going to hate this book because it exposes their shoddy scholarship. As has happened in the past, archaeologists and historians have accepted traditions not based in fact as the basis for their conclusions. (Cornuke’s investigation into the real location of Mount Sinai, chronicled in his book “In Search of the Mountain of God,” not only changed our maps, it embarrassed the academic world.) Notwithstanding, the rest of us are powerfully encouraged by a former police investigator who has the courage to defy the establishment; bringing us important new details, information which may change the course of Israel’s politics. As a result of Cornuke’s discoveries, not only is the ‘Dome of the Rock’ no longer an obstacle to rebuilding the Temple of the Jews; it has become a highly visible gold-plated embarrassment to the Muslim world: One of their most holy shrines was built on the wrong site! For Christians, this book is a reminder that Faith is based on the Bible, a holy book that is not only life changing, but one that has stood the test of time and can be relied upon to be factual in every detail. For Jews, Cornuke’s discovery seems to open the door for the immediate rebuilding of the Temple that was destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD. For the Palestinians, this book will make them apoplectic because the State of Israel now has the wherewithal to exert greater influence over Jerusalem. When these tinderbox factors are considered together, it becomes obvious that this book has the potential to be a game-changer for Middle Eastern politics. Expect it to be slammed, especially by those who hate Israel and God’s chosen people, the Jews. But for those of us who are interested in the truth wherever it takes us, this book is refreshing.

Compelling
Bob Cornuke offers some compelling arguments for the placement of the Temple in the City of David. I know and have read several of the naysayers and they have made some good points. This is an ongoing search in Jerusalem so the end is not yet. If he is right nothing can stop the third Temple being built and there can be no legitimate resistance by the Muslims who run the present Temple Mount because the City of David is Israeli. For those of us who look for Jesus' return if this book is correct, we just took a big step nearer.

A must read book for those interested in biblical prophecies yet to be fulfilled.
This is an amazing and thought provoking book. For those of us over 60 who have have a presupposed well established idea of the truth on this matter it is very challenging; but I am persuaded by the authors combination of biblical and archeological evidence. The potential importance of his assertions in the coming fulfilment of biblical prophecies is huge.

Serious questions about Temple Mount
A well researched and well written book. It has made me buy a couple of books that Cornuke referred to in Temple, to check out some details for myself, and I think he is very likely to be correct. I also like the end chapters re the Ark of the covenant. He has dealt with this in more detail than Grant Jeffrey in his book on the subject. To describe the book in two words - thorough and fascinating. A good read and good value for money.

Temple - Amazing new discoveries
A book to make you ponder on, full of facts which appear to make a lot of sense especially when you check up on the quotes given. Probably not a book many would agree with but certainly one to make you think

An interesting, convincing book which would solve so many problems especially regarding the Al Aqsa mosque and the position of the third temple. There will probably be a lot of resistance to it but well worth reading.
