We had bought a HUGE unit to unscrew lids for mom, but this behemoth was hard to use and rarely opened bottles. We've tested this on small items and large, including a sauerkraut bottle that was almost impossible to open. It opened all of them. The sauerkraut container took it about 5 minutes to open, but time and pressure did it, and then the unit pulled itself back into the resting position. Everything we hope for! (only works for stuck lids, not juice bottle lids that only have traction at the last turns due to the tampering ring needing to be separated).

Update: I’m changing my rating from 4 to one star. I received my second purchase and was very disappointed. the first time I used it, it didn’t grasp the jar correctly and it snapped and broke into pieces. I had one for years & bought it from a store) i never had a problem w/ it for years. It was getting old and it was time to get another one. I ordered a new one from this Amazon Site) but it broke the first time I used it. (See my first review included it at the end of this review). It snapped while grasping the jar. I figured it broke b/c it was it was a fluke. I didn’t return it and ordered another one. And the first time I used it the same thing happened! My 2nd one did the exact same thing! It didn’t grasp the jar correctly and it snapped and broke into pieces! Perhaps the 1st time? was a fluke...but the 2nd time? Not a Fluke!Very disappointed! I,don’t think they are making this product the same way they used to. Im now looking for something that might be more expensive but at least it’ll be better quality.This was my first review... sadly it’s not the same quality.This is a great product. I owned one for years and needed a new one. When it arrived the box was squished and torn. It was totally destroyed. I decided not to return it because the opener looked alright and didn’t appear damaged. It broke apart the first time I used it. It was too late for me to return it so I am purchasing another one. I hope it will arrive in one piece this time.Again, this is a great product. It opens many different size jars, it is small enough to store it in a kitchen drawer, and comes in very in a pinch. it does work! its bulky but worth it if you have that one jar lid that won't budge, so far it has removed all lids I have tried

Loved it! It opens jars great, just hold on to the bottom of your jar. We even used it on plastic ones lol..it tells you not to but we did it. Really helpful device with my bad arthritis

Works great. I got it for my husband, who has osteoarthritis in his fingers. Works great. It’s a little slow to use, so he still brings jars to me but at least he no longer *has* to. It doesn’t work for very small diameter lids... otherwise it’s perfect.

I really liked this item, but I had discovered the quality is very poor: my first RoboTwist (the inner jaws stopped gripping the jar) I had bought a pack of two. With the second one, I didn't open more than maybe ten jars until one of the outer jaws broke. I still have one RoboTwist left, I don't know how long it will work.
