A perfect book for those who prefer concepts over rote learning.

Although it was meant for children of sixth standard, I bought it to know the basics of Indian polity. I think the book delivered on my expectation splendidly. The book has been written in lucid language with a lot of examples and a precise balance of concept and facts which creates a very pleasant reading of otherwise extremely boring subject of polity. I would recommend this book to everyone. If you are preparing for UPSC then I think the questions at the end of each chapter would prove very useful.This book is available for free as a pdf on NCERT website. I have a bad habit of writing in the book itself therefore I always insist on hard copy over soft ones.
