I’m not using these in my refrigerator; I’m using them in my spice cabinet. If there’s a solution for eliminating the strong odors that come from that cabinet, I can assure you I’ve already tried it—many times. After two years of struggling with this issue, I’ve finally found what works. These deodorizers are excellent! They do have a slight bleach-like scent, but it doesn’t leave my cabinet smelling like chlorine when I open the doors. Within a few days I noticed a difference, and after a couple of weeks the odors were almost completely gone. I’m ordering more to keep on hand because I don’t want to run out.

Don't be discouraged if this product doesn't work overnight. It takes awhile.I had a terrible odor emanating from my fridge. Took everything out, tossed food and washed everything down. Nothing helped. Even had a repair technician in to see if he could advise. He checked for any openings for critters and for any type of spills that could cause the smell. He had no answers, other than telling me I had a big problem.I tried baking soda with NO results. So, as a last resort, I tried this deodorant product. I placed one in the refrigerator and one in the freezer. Both areas have circulating fans. It has taken its time, but has started to work well. It has taken roughly two weeks to get results, but they are positive. I will be ordering more just to be sure this odor NEVER comes back. Sometimes things are worth the money you spend on them. This is one of them.

I opened my refrigerator door, and was blasted with a very strong odor that smelled like broccoli that was way too old!I did have a small stalk of broccoli in one of my vegetable drawers, but it was sealed tightly in a plastic bag, and no smell could I detect with it close to my nose. I tossed it anyway, opened a fresh box of soda for the fridge, and thought that would fix the problem.For the next few days, every time I opened the door, I could tell that the smell was not getting less, it seemed to be getting stronger, and was starting to be noticeable in the freezer!I then decided that the soda was not going to work by itself, and installed 3 small bags of bamboo charcoal in various areas inside the fridge. I decided to also perform a long overdue reduction of items that seem to collect over time. That'll fix it, I thought. And, look at all the free space I have now!Again, a few days later, no improvement noticeable yet. So, I ordered 1 each NonScents refrigerator deodorizer to try.It was delivered on Friday around noon. I immediately opened it up and placed it on the middle shelf inside my fridge.Much to my amazement, when I opened the door on Saturday evening to fix something for dinner, the smell was GONE! The only smell noticed was nice fresh air! Freezer too!This magic device, in 1-1/2 days had done what baking soda and 3 bags of bamboo charcoal could not do in 2 weeks!I admittedly was sceptical that the NonScents deodorizer could work, much less that fast!But, this experience has taught me what to do with refrigerator/freezer odors, and how the keep them away.I am absolutely happy with this product, and would highly recommend it to everyone.

Keeps light odor gone but broccoli still smells and other high odorous items

We had a really stinky fish smell in our refrigerator that persisted even after emptying and scrubbing and using baking soda. We put 2 of these on different shelves and they really work! It has only been a few days and the smell is almost completely gone. I would buy again.
