These clips work pretty well. I have thick course hair so for the most part they work. The only negative thing I can say is that they are top heavy so they tend to just bend over and not hold the hair up if I put them in sections of hair that don't have as much hair in them. I think if your hair is thin or fine that these probably would not work very well but for thick curly hair they do work.

Ok, agree! It’s is way too expensive for these things but let me tell you it works. I would use regular large claw clips and the top of my hair would look weird, too crushed. These are very soft, just the perfect grab to give the roots a fluff. I would purchase them again but the maker should bring the price down!! My hair is curl 3A, high porosity and thin so I need all the fluff possible!! I knocked off a star due to the price only.

These large clips probably work great for people with a lot of thick hair. Mine is finer and shorter. The clips just flop over and fall out. Until someone makes smaller ones, I'll have to continue to use the little metal root clips that I was hoping to replace.

I have wavy hair and it is not thick by any means. These are perfect. Used them only once so far and they were easy to put in and stayed in place. I did try them on my 80 year old mother and they did not work for her as her hair is thinning. I am going to give my mother’s hair type another try and will update you if I can get them to work with her hair type as well!

Worthless. I don’t use them because they fall over when I put them in my thick hair. Waste of money.

These clips work great for my hair, which tends to be very fine and thin on top. I find that using them gives lift to that area and the clips don't leave dents in my hair.

These clamp hair well, but because they are heavy, they fall over! That defeats the purpose of lifting the roots.

Work well in my thick hair. I can understand the reviews saying they don't work in thinner hair. I use to create volume at my crown and they provide lift nicely. So far quality seems ok though they do have some rough edges of plastic.
