Okay, you're already on the downhill slope if you're purchasing "expandable" shorts, but that said, all of these reviewers seem to somehow miss a few points or are just immediately writing positive reviews because these "fit".1. The material feels like a combination of a nylon bathing suit and a 1980's polyester shirt - oddly slick, full of creases, "grabby" (catches on everything) and just downright strange.2. If you sit in these shorts in any standard desk chair for a bit, you start to get uncomfortably dewy in the nether regions. And I'm not sitting in an 80 degree room. Whatever these are made of, they definitely do not breathe, which is odd when it comes to wearing shorts.Overall these shorts just felt really bizarre to me, from material to comfort. And my wife despised them too, just for the old man elastic on the sides.Returned to Amazon.

These shorts work especially well for my autistic son. The snap at the waist is much easier for him to manage than a button. The elastic on the sides of the waistband are helpful with his teenage, fluctuating weight. The material is light-weight, perfect for hot weather and does not wrinkle, even if not folded right away after coming out of the dryer. I purchased one in every color! Very happy with these shorts.

These are by far thee most comfortable shorts I’ve ever owned, who ever designed these bad boys put a lot of thought behind the functionality of these. These shorts are made of a light weight wicking material that is loose and cool. Two rear pockets with zippers and two front deep pockets with a small zippered compartment in the front left pocket I usually store my keys or ear phones in them and not have to worry about them falling out

My husband is super picky about his shorts - he works graveyard freight at a grocery store, and needs to be able to bend/move but also not have "plumber's crack" going. It's surprisingly hard to find shorts that can do both, because if they're "relaxed" enough to move, they're also sliding down when you bend over. He has commented several times how much he likes these shorts. If they had a button instead of a sliding clip-thingy, we would order 5!

These shorts were just not what I expected, and for me, not in a good way. I love Wrangler products in general for their durability and style. These pants I thought would be more of the same but they were not. If there wasn't a brand on them I would have bet they were Hagger not Wrangler. They are like shorts for really old men, very light weight and very baggy with a noticeable ribbing to the fabric that is not readily apparent when you view the pictures for purchase. So in short, if your really old and want a super lightweight ribbed baggy pair of shorts, then these are the shorts for you.

These are a great pair of shorts and the size seems about run right on target. I'm a big guy, size 48 with chunky legs and the 48's (two pairs) both fit good. The fit is very comfortable, though the legs are a little snugger than I normally get. The material is a weird lightweight material that is very comfortable in hot weather. And so far I have seen no durability issues which is surprising since the fabric is so light, but time will tell. Update: Have had these for a while now and after wearing the various color versions I bought, I can say these are definitely worth the money and in fact am buying another pair today. As light as the material is they are surprisingly durable, don't shrink, colors don't fade and will completely clean off with a damp rag, within reason, if you spill something on them.

I especially enjoy the comfort, looks, and durability of these Wrangler Utility Shorts. I ordered 2 originally and have since ordered an additional 2. During the warmer months I wear these Wranglers nearly all day, everyday. They are lightweight cool, resist stains extremely well, and still look like new without wrinkles after several washes. Simple design with zip-secured pockets for all-around use. My cellphone is easy to reach and protected in the 5th zipper secured side-pocket. These shorts exceed my original expectation and I highly recommend them.

My husband had several pairs of these shorts, which matched his company shirts. They were wearing out, but he could not find the same model anywhere on line or at the stores. I continued to look for him and, ultimately, found them being sold again, this time on Amazon. They're slightly different from the previous model in that they have a button rather than a slide-in hook at the top. My hubby prefers the latter, which he says is easier to fasten and not likely to pop off like a button. Otherwise, these shorts are just as cool and comfortable as the older ones and have the same deep pockets.
