Easy fix for the suddenly easy-to-open driver's door. When the retaining pin finally breaks due to years of strain, the door opens very easily and just as easily comes back to hit you in the leg when entering. Fun...easy fix is this replacement set of four pins. Four doors, four pins...though the back doors rarely get the cycle frequency of the fronts. Easy to install once you get the door stay lever out of the door. I used a bolt in the hole and a large screwdriver to leverage the stay to its first stop. Simple drop in, tap to seat the pin after that. Feels like a new car!

These door check pins fit the arm to bracket effectively enough. Had to use a tapered punch to open them up a bit as they’re a bit cheaper than the OEM type, but they work. Still have a small snap during opening, which might be the check itself inside the door, but what should I expect for 187K miles? When necessary, replace these ASAP on your Jeep, or your door hinge will break over time.

Ordered these for a 1997 Cherokee XJ. Fit well and worked to replace one I was missing. So far I have just installed the one. I haven't found the need to replace them all as the others are still in good shape. But, I have extras if needed.

I lost my driver's door hinge check pin on my '99 JeeP XJ while on a cross country road trip. Pulled the hinge out and temporarily threw a bolt in there to secure it again, but the bolt starting wearing the hinge in an oval shape within a few days.Stopped in every auto parts store I saw along the way in Utah, Nevada, Montana, Idaho and Washington and didn't find a replacement. Ordered the part here and had it waiting for me with three spares when we pulled into town. Excellent factory replacement, price is right, and you don't have to look any further. If this is what you need, order it here and be done with it! I keep a couple extra in the JeeP's maintenance bag just in case.

So far so good. Installed this last week and it is holding well. No more doors slamming shut or hitting me. I'll check back in a few months if they have failed or cracked.

needed new pins for my toyota pickup. they are quite bigger than the other ones but work just fine if you push the bottom portion in with pliers. pain to install but they work.

Trabaja bastante bien, elimina el ruido de la puerta al abrir y cerrar casi por completo. Quedo un poquitito flojo pero en reladidad si trabaja bastate bien.
