Great product!
Works great to alarm us when our back door opens. Needed for pool safety. Easy set up.

Better solutions out there
Terrible solution. These alarms are big, bulky, have long wires, and so loud they make your ears ring if you are close when they go off. I had to purchase these alarms to pass our pool inspection, but will be removing them once inspection is over. Thankfully, our children are older, so this won't be an issue. We couldn't use the hardware that came with the alarms because every door and window has different measurements, so the sensors wouldn't fit on the lip of the doors or windows in our home. We had to go to the hardware store and purchase 3M heavy duty double sided tape to make it work. Not something you'd want to use permanently if you wanted to use these alarms long term. Another thing I dislike is you will NEVER be able to open your doors or windows on a cool day. You have 7 seconds once you hit the bypass button before this God screeching alarm goes off. And forget going out your sliding glass door. You will always set the alarm off when walking back inside unless you have someone on the other side of the door to hit the bypass button. My suggestion if you have young children, and are looking for a long term solution is to bite the bullet and invest in a baby pool gate. They are expensive, but worth it for the ultimate safety of your child. Of course nothing beats adults supervision. These alarms might be okay if you're a grandparent and the grandkids come to visit once in a blue moon. Just take out the battery when the grandkids aren't there. Of course, then you'll need to remember to replace it before they come over. Not an ideal situation, but it would work. I think these alarms would be extremely frustrating to the average family with younger kids that run in and out on a regular basis. Eventually, I can see a parent getting frustrated at the constant ear shattering alarm going off, and they remove the battery. This is when tragedy would strike. I wouldn't recommend these alarms for anything more than passing your pool inspections.

Stickers are not good
Decent purchase and meets ul requirements for pool code. Unfortunately the stickers do a terrible job. All the items keep falling down. I’m going to have to buy new style stickers to keep them upright.

Works as its intended
I like it.. we installed it on the gate to the pool after our nephew made his way into the pool luckily he was noticed and removed in time. If you have small children they are fast and this alarm is LOUD!!!!!! You can probably hear it from outer space. All eyes will be on your pool when this thing goes off. Keep your baby’s safe it’s worth the 20 dollars and the little bit of inconvenience shutting it off.

Loud alarm, lousy stickers, no silent option
The alarm works as intended as far as noise level goes. The included magnet indeed carries a 3/4 inch sensitivity before triggering. The included double-sided tape is *awful* (only 4 pieces, one each for alarm/bypass/sensor/magnet; we should at LEAST have 5 or a much larger piece for the bulky alarm) though mounting screws are included. The biggest letdown is that there doesn't seem to be a permanent "silent" or "low volume" option besides removing the batteries, which involves removing the alarm from the mount and unscrewing the backplate. Imagine trying to install this onto your large sliding glass door; since the bypass pad is non-modular there is no way to otherwise feed the wires and attach it from the other side. The alarm allows 15 seconds of low beep warnings before the full blast goes off if you want to go outside and come back in, which means you're forced to trip the very loud alarm, instantly, each time. Would be nice to have a 1 or 2-second delay to push the snooze button as you enter through so you can close it without creating a ruckus. Anyway, it's UL2017 compliant so it'll do the job. I highly recommend doubling up on the adhesive strength though.

Turn that thing off!
Not only do you know , but all of your neighbors and half your community will know when these go off. They serve the purpose well for what they were intended. If using in your house, you might consider hearing protection.

Great value - necessity for pool owners
This is a great value. Must have for pool owners, even if you don't have small children in the house. We frequently have grandkids visit. You an disable the alarm, but enable when children are around. Very loud alarm if door is open, which can be heard throughout the house and yard. Highly recommend this safety device!

If you need these to pass a pool inspection, get them. Otherwise, stay away.
These are UL 2017 compliant, which is required in many counties in the US when you build a pool - either on the gate around the pool, or on doors and windows that kids could use to get to the pool if the pool doesn't have a gate around it. The Yardgard will get you through the inspection. Its a huge pain to install, its very unsightly (all of the UL2017 ones are, because those ugly wires are a requirement), and very temperamental. We needed 5 of them. Luckily I got 6, because 1 just didn't work. The others worked well on the windows. But on the doors, they were unreliable - which is very ironic considering these counties require UL 2017 and there are fare more reliable alarms that are not UL 2017 compliant.
