Taste quality a little too pricey

I was on the hunt for a good passion fruit syrup to make Hurricanes for Mardi Gras (out here in California, not exactly a common recipe so somewhat hard to find). After searching Amazon for a syrup with great reviews, I decided to give this one a try! I like that it doesn't use modified sugars. The container had a couple of dings in it, but its a sturdy metal construction so it wasn't a big deal. The syrup was quite tasty and mixed a great Hurricane! I may just buy another bottle to try a simpler mix with water only. The price is reasonable, particularly for an imported item.

The bottle was extremely bent and beaten up and was leaking. More concerning was that the safety seal on the inside of the product was opened, it seems unlikely that this happened by accident because you'd have to open the lid to access that seal. Unfortunately, I cannot return this product and I don't think it is safe to consume.
