One of my favorite music books, even after 11 years since using it as a student. Alfred Series starts off rough and a bit too challenging for my tastes. But the Levels 5 and 6 are so good! My students have such a great challenge with the later end of this series with the solid assortment of music. So much variety, classical, obscure romantic and early 1900s works, hymns, patriotic, original fun works by the book authors, it's all here. I still end up playing my favorites from these books and bet it'll be a great choice for all teachers and students.

Great for learning and increasing knowledge of piano.

Some of the old classics are in here. "Deep River" is one of many.

This book arrived without any problems, and it had no signs of wear. It looked brand new. The songs in this book start off simple and progressively get harder.

Came very quickly! Just what I wanted! Great Book!

This is the last in the series and I haven't reached it yet. I bought books 4, 5, and 6 after picking up the Adult entry level books 2 & 3 combined in a charity shop. I really like the series!

Happy with it

Since discovering the Alfred series a few years ago, I've taken students through this course with great success. The focus on left hand/right hand, accompaniment/melody relationships is more practical in developing real keyboardist technique than any other beginner series I've seen. Once in the upper levels, the series introduces more Covseratory level classical pieces, so the student doesn't miss out on that repertoire. It covers many bases.
