Home Alone 1 & 2 [Blu-ray]

I have to disagree with some on here that say the blu ray versions of home alone are no better than DVD. The sound is very crystal clear. The picture is perfect. No blips - or any picture damage. In fact it is top quality AVC. (Advanced Video Coding (AVC) is a form of compression technology that allows high definition video to be sent across networks in an efficient manner). As opposed to vc1 or mpeg. Which are lesser quality. So be assured, the blu ray is worth it. Plus the extras on home alone 1 are extensive. Sadly no extras on 2.

Great set, as usual great price. Picture quality is good, expectations need to be tempered as the source was always soft. And to counter some other reviews of this set and others, if shot on film, especially in the 70's, 80's and some early 90's, grain will be present if the source is faithfully reproduced. It's not a bad thing! Eliminating grain results in waxy facial features and loss of detail.A note to aficionados - this is not the 25th anniversary remastered edition of the first film.

bought for our christmas eve film night, no problems with the blue rays at all, we by lots of blue rays off amazon

This is an upgrade from an old recording which quality was bad on my new HD monitor. The picture is so much better now. I have loved these films ever since I was a child and watch it every Christmas. Glad it was released on Blu-ray.

Need I say more. One of the BEST family festive Season movies EVER. In this double packed Blue Ray enhancement the picture is crisp (as if originally made in Blue Ray HD) and the sound is excellent in 5.1.It's a no brainer for movie buffs..

Great movies family favorite each year - arrived in time for Christmas (even though I purchased it late and wasn't in stock to start with) good quality discs.

No Arabic subtitle. The movies are great And the 1080 HD qualtiy is incredible

Love it, amazing cut, best watched on non UHD TV. More joy there, otherwise feels like reality tv show :S
