Pleasantly surprised!
I've been shopping for a dedicated, inexpensive, and quality made wok burner for some time now. There are quite a few freestanding models available in the $500 range but I wanted something that was portable but yet just as powerful. This is it! This unit is very well made and heavy, I just don't know if parts will be available if needed in the future since it's made overseas.I have two woks, an 18" and a 14", and both fit just fine. I wouldn't try to use anything smaller than a 14" and I DEFINITELY wouldn't recommend using this as a turkey cooker, even though it's very powerful. There are only three contact points (spacing is 12") and it just wouldn't be safe to use with a large pot that could tip over. It's not designed for that. Besides, turkey cookers are inexpensive and are designed to hold large pots in a safe, stable manner.Power wise, this thing is a beast! The gas regulator has a threaded T-handle that is infinitely adjustable and not preset at a certain flow rate. So you can adjust it from mild to wild, depending on your needs. Using the highest heat settings are actually too high for my carbon steel woks, so I have it adjusted to where there is about a 1/4" flame on low and when I turn it all the way up it still sounds like an F15 at takeoff! I don't know how long a 20# propane cylinder will last on this burner but considering it starts icing up pretty quickly, you can surmise it's using a lot of fuel. Which means it's producing a lot of heat. I keep 4 extra bottle full at all times so I could care less how much it uses. It works! If you too are looking for a nice portable and inexpensive wok burner this is it!

Wow does this thing put out heat
Wow, this is exactly what I was looking for. This makes your wok hot in a hurry, not for your average chef that isn't prepared, as this thing gets HOT FAST, like catch your cooking oil on fire hot, you've been warned!!This burner is amazing for those that know what they're doing. Unlike some other burners, this has a heat guard which is that extra metal plate that extends towards the control, this is meant to protect your hand and the wok handle from intense heat while you're cooking. If you've ever experienced that from another burner you know how hot that handle can get on burners without this heat guard. This unit is great, but you've got to have a platform to install it on. Some just place it on some bricks or other heat resistant platform. I like many others installed it in a wheeled metal cart (also sold here on Amazon). There's no real hardware included with it for this type of installation, i.e. the bottom burner plate needs to attach to the surround, they're two separate components. So it's not really ready for a suspended install where the surround supports the bottom. To solve this issue, I simply drilled a hole and used some of the metal utensil hangers that came with the table as a sort of thick wire, but that was done in a pinch (and it's not the most secure thing to do, I am not sure what kind of metal those hangers are, and they could soften up from the heat over time and either melt or just fatigue). Probably best to get some high temp steel pins to secure the bottom plate to the upper surround. Good luck whatever you decide to do.

Whoa. This thing is powerful.
I know it says 100k BTU's but man, wasn't expecting the kind output this thing has! I barely ever use it more than half power (and only use it at 3/4 power when I'm doing a big batch of fried rice or something). All that to say, if you're concerned about having enough heat, don't be. I can cook a stir fry for 2 people in 30 seconds with this thing at half power. It comes in two pieces which is great for storage and cleaning. Apparently, there are also two versions floating around... I got the one with the single knob, auto-ignition (but the instructions are for the one with a pilot and a separate gas knob). I don't really miss the pilot feature, because it auto starts really easy (so you just turn it off when you're not using it). Just be aware you might get one or the other.Overall, I would definitely get this burner again if it ever wore out!

Awesome wok burner!!!
Saw a youtube video about one of these that was rated at 200k BTU. That one was out of stock. Found this one… was reluctant to buy given the 100k BTU rating… but, saw the positive reviews on this one and took a chance. This thing puts out heat like a blast furnace. Fully seasoned a carbon steel wok in minutes. First batch of chicken fried rice came out BETTER than restaurant quality. Love this.

DO NOT BUY. THIS IS A DANGEROUS ITEM.
This item came with a propane connection I have never seen. But that is not the issue. The gas connections on this thing is barbed fittings and hose clamps between the regulator and burner inlet.Let that sink in. It uses connections commonly used for air or water. For gas. There are regulations concerning gas. Look at the fittings on your water heater, dryer, cooktop, or even your gas grill. They have crimped on leak proof fittings with flared seat threaded connections. I promise you, not one is a push on barb with a stainless hose clamp from home depot.Do NOT fool with gas connections. This is a fire waiting to happen. I would give this a negative star if I could. If I can't return or get a refund, this POS is going in the garbage. Along with my $127.00. I will not put my family at risk.

Great result but wrong connector makes the result difficult to achieve
The media could not be loaded. Good burner but yes it arrives with a problem to solve… it cannot be directly hooked up to propane as the included connector does not fit as a previous reviewer also warned about.. so consider the fact that you have to spend $30 more and get that part correct before ordering.. I’d love to give this an amazing review because the product is amazing but still for folks who are less handy they will have no idea what To buy
