GUB PRO1 Universal Alloy Bike Cell Phone Holder Aluminum Bicycle Handlebar Phone Support for 3.5-6.2inch Bike Bracket Mount

If you’re only riding in the streets and paved roads, this might be overkill for you, but If you’re going on trails and mountain biking, this holder is great! Extremely sturdy with almost no movement. If you’re doing extreme mountain biking, this is not for you as it does become an object that can hurt you if land on it on a fall.

This thing is built like a tank and the longer grips fits my Galaxy S21+ with a case!

GUB is definitely, if unintentionally, onto something here. I bought a new GPS (Garmin DriveSmart55) to use with my motorcycle. I needed a way to mount it and, first, looked to Ram Mounts for the answer. I’ve been using Ram Mounts for more than 10 years and figured they’d make a cradle I could just swap out...nope. Not only did Ram not make a cradle but when I called them to see if one would be forthcoming the answer was a rather snooty NO.After searching extensively, I decided on the GUB Pro 1. What I actually received was labeled GUB Pro 3, I’m thinking updated version as I see no difference. After clearing all the Ram equipment off my handlebars, I installed the GUB...it was super easy and really gives the bike a much cleaner look than the Ram stuff. The parts are all aluminum and seem very sturdy. The stem is long enough to clear the bar clamps but short enough not to look awkward. The long claws hold the GPS securely (I’ve ridden over 100 miles on all kinds of roads, including gravel), however, and this is my only issue, I wish the claws were a bit longer. The claws measure the stated 18mm. My GPS is 18mm at its widest, so the claws just hold it. If the claws were 20mm or 21mm this mount would be absolutely perfect! Even better would be a mount that has 4 claws at the corners so the GPS could be centered and clamped down. As it is, in horizontal format, only half the GPS is within the claw width (see photos). GUB are you listening?Overall, this is a very nice little mount. If GUB ever makes a mount with a bit longer claws I will be first in line.

Would be worth buying at twice the price. Very secure. Well machined. Locking screws even come with thread-locker pre-applied.

Clean fit and finish. So much nicer than a lot of the plastic and rubber alternatives. I’ll be adding these to all my bikes moving forward.

See the product photo? That phone isn't in a case. That fool is about to lose his phone. The first thing you need to know about this phone holder is that you need to have your phone in a case also. There are no rubber grips on the holder itself, and your phone will slide out onto the damn road without a case to add traction. My daughter tried it first. She took her phone case off first (Lord, help me), on the first hard bump "crack"--the sound of her phone hitting the pavement at 15 mph. I tried it while using a phone case and it held fine. If you need a phone holder with a slim handlebar mount, there are other options. If you decide to get this holder, USE A PHONE CASE!

The title says it all it came scratched and has pits in the metal seems cheaply made or maybe this was used but looks poorly machined as well. Little to no quality control. Also the ad says gub pro 1 this says pro 3 on the holder? Ok so maybe it’s the newer version. Anyways the phone holder is not worth the money. Also where is the back holder screw it’s missing? Which renders this useless, Poor QC. This one is a pass.

I love this product — probably one of the most durable on the market. I've had it for a year.Except now — the tightening screw no longer tightens the whole bracket, it just tightens to the outer arm, making the whole thing stuck. I cant figure out how to make it screw further after its reached its maximum distance on the outer screw (the part where the head screws on). So the whole thing doesn't work anymore.Any suggestions?
