Q: What's the knife blade metal? Anyone have insight on how well it sharpens and holds an edge?

420HC, which is NOT what all the leathermans use. It's ok steel, but IMO, some have S30V, which is a FAR superior metal blade. Overall, this is a great tool for what you're paying for!
