Wifi Smart Switch, Wifi Light Switch 2 Packs, Compatible with Alexa and Google Home, App Remote Control with Timing Funtion, No Hub Required (Neutral Wire Required)

I purchased this to replace the original rocker switches and to eliminate the use of the limited SwitchMate device. SwitchMate is good but you can’t communicate with it outside of your home’s Wi-Fi network. So if I want to turn on the outdoor lights while away I couldn’t. I needed more control. I found this switch set. Do NOT get this unless you are a technician or can get a technician to do the install. This is not for the novice. The included instructions are not enough and the included wires are not of the needed size. I tried to install myself but after 2 days of trial and error I ended up calling an electrician, watching him I realized that it over my head. It required my tech to use additional wires on the ground and the neutral just to connect those, the line (power) was kept on the middle original switch and from there shared to the load on the 2 new switches. You really have to know what you’re doing it not as simple as, take that wire put it here, and take that wire and put it there. Wires had to be added to extend reach, good grade (20g) not the cheap ones in the box (DON’T USE THOSE). I had 2 days of frustration and he installed it in about 2 hours but even he had a time with the wires and getting everything squeezed into the junction box. I also found out that nothing in that particular box was grounded. A layperson would have never seen or rectified that. My future project now will be to check all the other switches in the house to make sure that they have a negative wire attached. Connecting to the existing SmartLife app was simple. Now I can control the outside lights at will. The best part of 2020. See pics (yes, I label everything - helps guests use the correct switch w/o having to guess). Used two in the front and one in the back. 2 week update: still working great, absolutely no problems. They follow the schedule I made for them, turning on and off. Overall, this is a really good product. The installation was typical for any outlet, however, the pairing process was VERY simple! Was pleasantly surprised how easy and fast the pairing process was. The voice control was easy to set up and is very responsive. The few reasons i rated this as a 4 are as follows: 1) while you can control each socket separately in the app, you CAN NOT control them separately by voice. I really wish you could do voice commands for each socket. 2) as part of #1, you can not rename each socket for easy identification. If you plug multiple devices in, you'll have to remember which socket, or you'll be playing the guessing game. 3) the screws to attach the outlet to my single gang electrical box didn't work. luckily i do a lot of electrical work and had more appropriate screws. Ultimately, i would absolutely suggest purchasing this product as for the price, it is a fantastic device with decent features.

I have a security system already in the house and was pretty frustrated that most manufacturers are selling their "smart home" accessories as security devices. Not so with these smart switches. First off, these require a 4 wire connecting. If the switch you're replacing just has a pass-through switch and a ground it won't work. a neutral wire and ground are required for these to work, Bummer for me at the office great here at home. Through the app, it connects very easily to whatever network you choose. and to Alexas. NOTE: When I bought the two pack I was expecting two switches but hadn't considered the wall plate. Just FYI, this comes with a double wall plate for both switches to be side by side. I haven't tried it yet but I believe a GFCI Device Wallplate will work with these. I am running to the local Lowes to get a couple and will let you know if it doesn't. If there is no update then it worked.

I bought this for a block heater so I don't have a pigtail hanging from the plug and I wanted to be able to easily adjust the schedule based on what my work schedule was. I set it up in the house and it worked fine. I installed it at the end of our driveway ~300' and it picked up the WiFi with no issues. I really like that you can control each plug independently, that way I can have on on the timer and one constantly on, or have it set up for two vehicles. Great product! Note that the waterproof cover (not included) sits out a bit because of the plug design. I'll caulk that to keep things dry.

The Smart switches do need some effort to install the wiring. Installing on my phone was easy; But I had to switch my Wi-Fi to 4.5 G. And I had to remember my password. But it works great. No more trying to program my outdoor switch timer

Works well and easy to set up and automate with the Tuya or Smart life app. Can be paired with other smart switches and products to automate your lighting needs. You can even use the pairing to connect two lights that are not even on the same circuit if you want so they both turn on/off when the switch is pressed. Only drawback is it seems to show up twice in Alexa app so it can be confusing to determine what switch is for what if you've installed multiple smart products.

Switch works great, only been installed for a few days but all good. Easy to get operational but a tight fit in my small electrical boxes.

i bought 2 of them and used only one. within 2 months of use it now keep loosing connection to internet. i have thrown away the packing box and cant even return it.
