good reference
I purchased this book after i had the opportunity to partake in one of Mr. Clark's seminars. This book makes a good companion piece and reference to Mr. Clark's pressure point seminar, but i can see how it might not give the average reader much benefit. The drawings on the pressure points are kind of vague, and some of the photographs might be a bit hard to follow in sequence and see exactly where the action is taking place. For these reasons i gave it 3 stars. Now if you have sat through his class, then i would give this book 4.5 stars. Mr. Clark in person is very informed, teaches his methods with humor (and a bit of pain) and is able to show you exactly what you should be doing. I really enjoyed having the chance to train with him and would jump at the opportunity again. This book is therefore good for me in this instance because i had the benefit of seeing the moves firsthand, and i use the book as a refresher when the moves become hazy in my memory. pressure point fighting is like anything else, it takes lots of practice to be able to become accurate and some things are just easier to learn from another person rather than a book.

Pressure point fighting mixed with basic business
This book is a great overview of pressure point fighting. I also highly recommend the Bubishi in this same category,

Pressure Point Fighting Review
The author is very knowledgable, and very encouraging to martial artists to explore the topic further.I use the book, like a reference book. I have not read straight through it completely; however, I hope that the graphics will be more descriptive in future issues. I am hoping that the author will create a companion DVD to go with this book. Much of this book is not easy for me to follow. It requires the reader to have a great understanding of Chinese cultural definitions, terms, philosophy and qigong.

Pressure-Point Fighting: A Guide to the Secret Heart of Asian Martial Arts
I bought this book for my 27-year-old son who is very advanced in a form of Karate. His opinion is that the book is well layed out with good pictures to be able to visualize and hence further comprehend the theory. He is very pleased with it and is finding it very useful.

Pressure point fighting: A Guide
This book supplies information on pressure points that can help a weaker opponent defend himself or herself against someone stronger. I would have liked more photographs to help you to find these points.

Really good book
As some others have pointed out, this is more of a book on applications (bunkai) of kata rather than a guide to use of pressure points in itself. However, it covers the principles well.I think the main thing is to have realistic expectations of a book of this type. A book can explain where the pressure points are and how to manipulate them to cause an intended level of pain, but there is no substituted for training with an instructor. Thankfully, and due in no small part to Professor Clark travelling widely, many instructors are familiar with kyusho and practical applications of kata rather than the surface level stuff that was taught for many years (for example the jump/juji-uke in heian godan - as a block for a front kick this is ridiculous, mainly because you have to commit to the block before the attacker has even moved).Enjoy this book by all means, but take every opportunity to train with people like Rick Clark, Vince Morris, John Burke, Ian Abernethy, and your martial arts will be rounded and effective.

Great book
I have met Rick Clark on two occasions - he doesn't tell you any secrets but he does say that hard work and incorporating some of his techniques in your normal fighting style will help you in your overall stragety. It's not rocket science - and having being on the receiving end, I can attest to it effectiveness. It's an interesting take on some of the more outlandish stuff out there - and reality based and tested.

Don't waste your time.
3 or 4 good pages, the rest is utter waffle.
