Putco WIN! This is THE LED replacement!
Big fan of these LED units. Granted the are not DOT approved for use, they do work much better than many other brands. I am very satisfied with these over the course of time I have had them installed. Heat is not an issue as of yet, and the light output is much cleaner than the stock incandescent lamp.Four stars based not on performance but on cost. Also, wish they could be DOT approved, but not a factor I really am concerned about.Installed for longer than a month, very pleased. Attached photos show the Putco LED on the left, and stock incandescent on the right. One picture is running light, other is caught with emergency flashers. Putco LED out performs the stock incandescent during direct daylight situations.I have tried many other LED options and the Putco wins hands down!Installed in 2000 Nissan Pathfinder.

2005 Subaru
These did not work in my 2005 Subaru. Continued to blow out fuses no matter the orientation (tried as a pair and one at a time - probably went through 10 fuses). The product also noticeably rattled. I do however have the comparable amber for turn signals and white for reverse. No problems there. I would try these again in a different vehicle.

2 things to watch for
Ignore the star ratings, I really don't have a rating for this product.Won't work in many cars, too long. Also, there are two kinds of wiring that automakers use on the sockets. The odd one is called "ck" or something like that, and you need a special LED bulb for that type.

Work great
The units I received are a bit different from the photo, but they work very well. The photo makes them look like they're made from metal, but they are not. Definitely plastic. They are pretty light weight as well, so not likely to fall out of their socket as your car bounces down the road.I've had them in my car for a couple months and both bulbs are still 100%. In person, the bulbs do look a bit on the cheap side, but you can't see them once installed. The effect they create is at least as bright as the original halogens, with the benefit of nearly instant turn-on that only LEDs can give. One thing to note...CK sockets. If you don't know what they are, please look them up. My Ford C-Max, unfortunately, has what are known as CK sockets. They're the same size as the standard sockets for a 7443 bulb, BUT they are wired differently. This doesn't matter for halogen bulbs, but does matter for LED conversions. This is because halogen bulbs can take current in either direction and still turn on. LEDs cannot. In my case, I had to modify the socket and the bulb to make it work with my car.Overall, these bulbs are great, BUT make sure you have "standard" and not "CK" bulb sockets in your car. A quick web search will give you all you need to find out which socket type you have.

Nowhere near as bright as the OEM
Nowhere near as bright as the OEM bulbs they were to replace. Put one on a 2018 Forester and compared -- worked great and fit well but way less light output than incandescent OEM bulbs

2014 Honda Civic EX Coupe Front Turn Signal Lights
I replaced my stock 7443 front turn signal light bulbs in my 2014 Honda Civic EX Coupe with these. These are just as bright (if not brighter) as my stock bulbs, but have the instant on/off effect that matches the other rear LEDs. They look great and instantly achieve full brightness as soon as I hit the turn signal. The 2014 Honda Civic EX Coupe does not use a relay to control the turn signal flash speed. Unfortunately, I had to use 4Pcs Aaron 50W 6ohm Load Resistors to stop the hyper flashing after installing these. This cancels out any energy savings. After replacing every stock bulb with LEDs (except the headlights), I found that the turn signals were the only lights that required load resistors.I used Arctic Alumina Thermal Adhesive to bond them to my car's metal body for heat dissipation instead of using screws.Tip: My front turn signals are placed such that attaching load resistors to the wiring is not feasible. The workaround is to attach the load resistors to the rear turn signal wiring. This means that, after replacing my front and rear turn signal lights with LEDs, I have two 50W 6 ohm resistors attached [in parallel] to both rear turn signal wires. In retrospect, I would have just attached one 100W 3 ohm resistor to each of the rear turn signal wires to draw the current necessary to avoid hyper flashing.

disappointed
one light was broken when it arrived. There are two sections to the light. The mfg puts just a dab of sealer on one side of the base when the two pieces are put together. If the mfg would put another dab or two of the sealer this wouldn't of happened.

Very bright
They are very bright. Installed these on a 2014.5 Camry SE V6. They are brighter than OEM bulb when they are on both on the tail light circuit and brake light circuit. My only concern is that these look nothing like the picture that is up on the product page where the picture shows a bulb that is metallic. Also, this bulb doesn't utilize the housing reflector as efficiently as the stock bulb and there's a hot spot in the center of the light.
