A Comprehensible Guide to Servo Motor Sizing
K**S
A good primer for the author's software and all the research in preparation to motor sizing.
The guide is really an introduction to preparing to run the author's software for motor selection. As such, it if very clear about the input research required to begin the process of properly gathering all the parameters required to estimate a motor with a good margin. It is important to note the software is not provided. The student will benefit from a clearer understanding of all the parameters required to do a good job of motor selection. A basic estimate guide for Coulomb and Viscous friction torque is outlined, but it wouldn't make you and expert on tribology or motor design. Still, a very good preparation and outline for gathering the research.

Good Content but Poorly Written
This book is filled with valuable insights and practical tips on motor sizing. I found it to be very understandable and useful. Unfortunately the writing style is extremely poor. Didn't somebody at least proofread this book? Does anyone believe in the concept of editing? There grammatical style is horrendous: incorrect usage, nonparallel structure, mmisplaced commas, run-on sentences, etc, etc. The author uses the phrase "set up" all over the place when a better term would be "system". Come on people!Otherwise the content itself is quite good and well researched.
