must have stripping tool for flex wires .... but also need an additional stipping tool
Having used a stanley knife for years and after several cut fingers along the way I thought it was time to look for an insulation stripping tool. After much investigation I found it necessary to purchase two tools that will deal with the range of cables found in the normal household. This particular tool is ideal for stipping the insulation off the inner cores of flex cables less than 1.5mm. Keep in mind that both these tools have a single cutting edge and the wire is pulled by the grippers so there does tend to be marks left on the insulation but they will not cause a problem. The DANIU stripper is ideal for removing both the outer insulation on most types of cables up to 2.5mm and the inner insulation on the standard 1.5 and 2.5 house cabling. If it is necessary to remove a long length of outer insulation then it should be done in a few shorter lengths to avoid the grips slipping on the insulation. After I used the DANIU a couple of times the lock nut on the back tightened and prevented the handles on the gripper from moving ( I noticed this in a couple of other reviews) - once I released the nut back the tool worked ok and has been alright since so this may be something to watch out for. There are various options of both these tools on the market but I was looking for something that was not expensive, would cover the broad range of cables that one would come across around the house and was suitiable for the DIY person - purchasing both these tools I feel fitted the bill and have used them several times since I purchased them with good results. - Definitely much easier than using a stanley knife ( or your teeth) and wish I had purchased them years ago.Tool 1) Dechengbao Automatic Wire Stripper and Cutter, Automatic Cable Wire Stripper with Cutter Wire Stripping ToolTool 2) Wire Stripper, DANIU Stripper Cutter AWG10-24 Compound Automatic Wire Stripper Plier 3-in-1 Hand Tool Self-Adjusting Cable Stripper, Wire Cutter and T

Easy to use and strips to a consistent length each time
I wish I had bought one of these years ago. it is easy to set the length of exposed wire you require and once set, the design of the stripper means it stays consistently the same. Tackled different diameter car wiring with ease and no further adjustment necessary. Overall a good piece of kit

Very handy item to have!
Does exactly what I wanted. Works fine. It’s plastic construction so not sure how it will fare over time, but with careful use can see no reason why it won’t last for years. Very handy little tool.

Brilliant.
I think this is the best wire strippers I have ever had. I have others but none were near as good as these. I have misplaced the ones I got last year so glad I could get another one. Would recommend these.

Does the job

Works perfectly. Very handy tool
Strips the thickest insulation with ease, without damaging the wires at all. The cutter is also quite good. the thickest wires might need 2 or 3 squeezes to get a clean cut. Highly recommend for anyone working with high quality audio/video equipment that want the cleanest cuts and smooth strips

Good little thing
Does exactly what you'd expect. Really good little thing and good value for money. I'm a DIYer so don't know what professionals would think.

Good quality but limited application
I've given this a 4☆ review as it IS good quality, and DOES do what it says in the description, BUT don't buy it for multistrand wire! I use 22awg silicon multistrand wire, and this chops through half the strands as it strips the outer......back to the smaller scissor action one.

Not so happy :(
It does a good job but only with thin and soft wires but not so good with thicker and stronger wires. I think the cutting part is not so sharp for the job.

Tut was es soll :-)
