These are REALLY nice cards! I asked my son (turning 15) what little party favor he may like to give his guests at his upcoming family birthday dinner, and he said, "maybe a deck of cards for everyone?" I decided to hunt for the spiffiest, best cards I could to fulfill that, and that led me to these. I like that they're waterproof and durable. That was actually the initial draw (with a SUPER busy little one in the house "sturdy" usually is a word in the search bar for any new toys or items like this), but the sheer visual pizzazz that these are is a huge dollop of icing on the cake. When I unboxed them, my first impression is that they're even prettier than the pics do justice, and I LOVE the feel of them. They're very sturdy, but have a nice flex and they shuffle well. The little bit of texture adds just enough friction that they're not too slick. The box is durable, too (although my one teeeeeeny complaint is that working the flaps open on it can take a sec, but that's picky...really, it's fine). I played a few rounds of solitaire on my own deck (hey, I'm a party guest, too, right?) before packing it away for the party just to see that these operate as smoothly in play as a typical deck. They do. They're visually as easy to work with as your classic-looking deck (plenty easy to read for your player with typical eyesight), shuffle nicely, and stay in place well as I sorted and tossed cards into place, no crazy slip-sliding....all perfect! I'm so happy I picked these, and I think my son and his guests will be really pleased with these as treat. We do a lot of camping and stuff and my kids also tend to like carry an arsenal of stuff to keep busy with everywhere, and a deck or two of these on hand for these types of thing will be great; they're definently a quality that I can count on surviving getting toted around on the regular and played in less conventional spots than the card table. If you want cards that will withstand a lot of use and miles, I definitely reccomend these for your consideration. And, I'll add once more: they're beautiful--really eye-catching!

Nice cards but the black deck is very difficult to use.The GOLD are much nicer the “red” stands out on which card you’re using.

I bought two decks of these cards and gave one to a friend, who loves them. Many evenings I like to play solitaire, as a way of winding down and clearing my head of 'busyness'; these cards make it so much more pleasurable! The ink does begin to wear off after so much use, but it's not a big deal and not surprising; they're so beautiful with the gold background and bright colors. I'm simply going to buy more when the last deck wears out, will also give them as gifts.

Was making a golden birthday gift basket and what better to add than these cards. My daughters have used them so many times and they are in great condition.

These cards are very nice. The color takes a little getting used to and holding them at just the right angle so there's no glare. They are sturdy but very easy to shuffle. They are very slick so it takes a bit to get used to not dropping them.

I bought the set because it looks identical to the black set already own. I was excited to use two decks, but when I shuffled them together, there was an obvious difference in size that prevented me from shuffling correctly.As probably half an inch difference.Beautiful cards, though. However, I will be returning to get cards that match my current deck.
