We Shall See God: Charles Spurgeon’s Classic Devotional Thoughts on Heaven (50 Daily Reflections on Eternity from the Prince of Preachers with Additional Insights from Randy Alcorn)

This is one of my favorite devotional books. If anyone ever gets tired of the way of this world, this little book gives a good perspective and encouragement about what is to come as a Christian. Charles Spurgeon is to me a hero of the faith and Randy Alcorn loves writing about Heaven.

This book is a series of short daily readings taken from various sermons by Charles Spurgeon on the subject of heaven, with following comments by the well known Randy Alcorn, who has written extensively on the subject of heaven as well. I was blessed more than once by the eloquent words of these 2 gentlemen! Well worth your time to read - I am buying some extra copies to give to friends.

For those whose 'world is not my home' and 'whose citizenship is in heaven', this is an incredibly important book. I couldn't put it down, and am now in my second reading of it. I have ordered it for my friends as well. It discusses in thorough detail and accuracy from scripture what heaven is - and isn't! I can't wait to be there with my Lord, now that I have an even better idea of what awaits - friendships, no regrets or tears and most importantly, time with my Lord. After ordering a batch for friends, I find I still need more...I have friends for whom this would be most appreciated and meaningful. Still in my second reading, I just finished the section on friendships (chapter 37). I read this the first time within days of losing my best friend to an unexpected, cross-country move. I was devastated. Today I read it for the second time, the day after I learned my soul-mate cousin had cancer. The two most influential friends I've ever had being lost to me was been heartbreaking. . .yet God provided this chapter at exactly the right time to hear his heart for friends, and this has salved my soul as I anticipate a time when there will no longer be good-byes for any reason.

If you’ve ever read any books by Randy Alcorn, then you know that this book is just as good if not better. I love his book on Heaven. I love all the Puritans, but Charles Spurgeon will always be my favorite. Between Charles Spurgeon and Randy Alcorns book on heaven, you will love this book. Great read I highly recommend it.

Absolutely the best purchase if you are walking through sorrow and grief after losing a loved one. No ridiculous platitudes just truth, the Truth of God’s words spoken through two pastors Spurgeon and Alcorn. The words of this book have brought me tremendous comfort and continue to remind me of the hope we have in Heaven through Jesus.

One of my favorite devotional books. It is a comforting read for those who are grieving.

What a wonderful book that provides Charles Surgeon's views of Heaven. Fills in after reading Randy Alcorn's book HEAVEN. I have given several copies of each to friends. What a way to begin each days reading a few profound pages.

I like the way you hear from Spurgeon but I like Alcon’s comments from each chapter. I have lost husband and it very comforting and scripture backed by the Holy Bible

I absolutely love this book. I have been wrestling with questions of heaven. I am being enlightened and encouraged!! This book was exactly what I needed to get an authentic biblical backed picture of heaven where I will meet the Heavenly Father face to face and spend eternity with Jesus and my loved ones. Highly recommend this devotional.
