James Last - Seduction - [7"]

A must for any James Last Fan.

This is a somewhat unusual album from James Last-Hansi conducting the top musicians of USA but totally different personnel than his previous USA-recorded album "Well Kept Secret".In a sence, this is the most beloved James Last album in Japan - "Vibrations" is very popular amaong baseball fans because it was featured on a Japanese successful TV baseball news show while "Fantasy" is used as the soundtrack for a TV quiz programme.Interestingly enough, both tunes are Hansi's own compositions.In Japan this album was released with totally diffrernt cover(Polydor MP2625) but never released on CD. Stupidly enough, Universal Music Japan people never include "Vibrations"and "Fantasy" on their own "The Best Of James Last" compilations.

Had this through the door this morning and i listened to it and i can only only say one word-rubbish- if you're a dedicated james last fan then it's right up you're street but being fairly new to his music i can only say i was disappointed in fact the only track i bought it for was the seduction love themeavoid this at all costs

The sound of cruising, 1980-style . Menacing night-time easy funk. Sleek arrangements with an undertow of unease. Eat up the city.

I have had this album on vinyl for years and was ecstatic to discover it had been remastered on CD. It is vintage James Last at his best - not the crazy later stuff. Track 5 is an incredible mix of 3 different tempos, and all the while I smile picturing James stood up front doing his unusual 'conducting' !!!! Excellent AAA ++++
