This book is a must have if your child is learning math through Singapore math. Weather you home school or your child is in public school all parents should read this book. It makes helping with homework so much better. Easy to understand, great layout, and so helpful!

Some of us are "forced" to do the, "I Do, We Do, You Do".Will assist in developing true conceptual understanding. Done slowly and done correct it does work. This book will rock for those of us who need help in writing the "I Do, We Do, You Do" lesson plans.

Great book for teaching elementary school math, great strategies for multiplication and division. However I am teaching 6 and 7th grade math and did not find the strategies applicable to the concepts I have to teach.

This is the only way to really teach the concepts of math. Students learn problem solving skills and don't just memorize what to do. It's a must for any excellent math program!

Helps to wrap your head around the teaching before you present it to students. This is important when working with special needs students.

Clear, concise language and procedures for teaching concepts. Suggestions for specific manipulative materials are also included in each lesson, which is very helpful

This book contains lots of useful computation strategies, but research has consistently shown that the I Do, We Do, You Do instructional approach is ineffective when trying to develop true conceptual understanding. Students can develop these strategies through carefully designed tasks and class discussions centered around the important mathematics. This may be a good book if the teacher is just starting out teaching mathematics, but there are many other better resources available.

Brilliant and insightful book. It talks you through how to build up each stage in the children's learning with the 4 operations and gives guidance on how to extend this further. The 'scripts' for each stage of the method give a good focus on vocabulary. It also gives ideas of how to link with existing methods and bar modelling.

Great and easy to follow the line of thinking

Expected more maths examples and less narrative.
