Quality Rubber - Sizing Worked With Minor Modification
I needed a boot for a 12 VDC medium amperage application. The project employed 8 gauge wire and lugs. The factory hole (#10 - 3/16" stud terminal cover) for the wire was far too small, but that was easily rectified with a razor blade. The cap covers the lug snugly (perfect for my application). The rubber is substantial, but adequately pliable. Ultimately there were exactly what was needed for my project.

FOR 1/0 cable
These are huge; but, that's what I wanted. Easily fits over a rockwell 1/0 cable with crimped on copper lug and adhesion shrink tube. Had to lube up the cable so the boot could slide on but the lug is easily covered and looks great! Used on my circuit breakers and alternator.

Just what I needed for my ATV winch
#10-3/16 was an Exact fit on the posts for my ATV winch. Wish I would have found these before I installed it because I was out of terminal connectors so didn't want to cut the wire to slide these on. No biggie. I made a slice across the back and was able to slide the connector and wire thru the back of the cap.

Doesn't fit over lead rod
This this is great and all, but it doesn't fit over the lead pad underneath the stud, which also conducts electricity. It gets some of the job done, but if you want to be totally covered look for another product. These things are basically cosmetic.

Great protection
I use it in my RV for an Optima battery which does not sit in a covered box so the terminals are exposed these protect the terminals

theese work great for exposed cable ends
Perfect for covering up exposed terminals. A little big for battery cables though should have got the next size down.

Good solid materials
These covers are more rigid and very durable as compared to the Silicone style covers. If you need a more flexible/pliable product get the Silicone style.

Add a little dielectric grease to aid installation
This was a tight fit over 2/0 wire (1/2" OD) - and over the copper lug that was crimped on the wire. A little dielectric grease goes a long way and helps this slide right into position.
