Big Audio Upgrade for PC/Console — Powerful, Clean, and Loud
The Creative G6 7.1 HD Gaming DAC/USB sound card has been a noticeable upgrade over onboard audio. Sound quality is cleaner with better separation, and it drives headphones with authority—there’s plenty of volume on tap, and it doesn’t sound strained. The built-in headphone amp (Xamp) does a great job of giving headphones more punch and detail, especially in the lows and mids compared to typical motherboard audio. For gaming, the surround/positional audio is a real benefit. Footsteps and directional cues are easier to place, and the overall soundstage feels more “open,” which helps in shooters and competitive games. It also works well for music and general media, so it’s not a one-trick gaming box. Controls and setup are straightforward once you get it dialed in, and it’s nice having a dedicated external unit that’s easy to swap between devices or move between setups. Overall, if you want a strong, reliable external DAC/amp that improves clarity, boosts headphone performance, and adds convincing virtual surround for gaming, the Creative G6 is a solid buy.

Best soundcard I've used
What a piece of kit! Bought this in May 24 and have left until now to submit my thoughts on it. "WOW" I think that it even looks good on my desktop, and for something that size What a punch it performs, Just by adding it into my system, what a difference it has made, It's a good job I have some decent speakers that can handle the extra , although I don't need it very often , The clarity is amazing, very easy to set up, The control panel takes a little while to get right ( but that's part of the fun of it ) And paired with a set of decent headphones the experience just keeps getting better. All in all money well spent !!

Adds the extra oomph to your headset
The device is connected via a USB and works with pc, Xbox, playstation, Nintendo switch and pretty much anything that has a usb port. It comes with required usb cable, but also a supported fiber optic cable if that suit your needs better. The front of the device has standard 3.5 mm jack for audio out and mic in. The device adds a extra kick to your headset and by standard setting with no effects it already provides much better and fuller audio and it can drive headsets up to 600 impedance. It comes with a easy to use software where you can tune in effects very accurately and has buttons on the side to enable or disable presets quickly. The underside surface has a non slip pad so that it doesn't glide around your desk as easily and the volume knob feels great and is of good quality. There are top facing RGB logo on top that you can turn on and off and change colors and add effects. Volume knob is also surrounded by a white light to easily find it when in a dark room. It supports side tone however the drawback is that there is going to be a tiny delay but if you turn of all post processing effects it is usable. For gaming it comes with a scout mode setting with lowers some unimportant ear candy and amplifies footsteps and speech for proximity chat and teammates which is very useful. It supports stereo mode, 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound. Overall a great device and worth the buy however the delay on side tone is a small drawback.

one of the best PC audio upgrades
After having issues with onboard audio (buzzing and crackling noises while moving the mouse and playing sound), I've decided to give Sound Blaster a go. And rather than installing a PCI card, like we used to in the old days, I decided to try the USB device so I can also more easily move it from one PC to another. I first bought a G5 and later replaced it with a G6. I now own 2 G6's and they're amazing. I love the fact that you can tweak the audio to your liking and the sound profile stays saved on the device, even if it's disconnected and moved to another PC! Another great feature is that the two front 3.5mm inputs allow for headphones or headset (w/ mic) and a dedicated microphone. If you unplug the headphones/headset, audio automatically gets routed to the rear audio-out. I've connected the G6 to a Fosi Audio D-class amp and a set of bookshelf speakers and I've been very happy. Beats onboard audio even on the high end motherboards. If nothing else, the SB Command app and the physical controls which are right in front of you make a huge difference. P.S. I've ran a cheaper version of these (G3 model with usb-c cable) on my IPAD and it worked without issues. I believe G6 would too with the right adapter.

Z.B. funktioniert HQPlayer 4 ohne Probleme.

Let's get one thing out of the way - I am NOT an audiophile. However, I am a person who owns and uses a variety of headphones and ear buds. I am also a person who is a bit hard of hearing. Before I purchased the Sound Blaster X G6 external sound card, most of the headphones I used just weren't loud enough. I had a pair of wired earbuds that I've had for several years that were loud enough for me to truly enjoy music, video games, movies, and other media on any of my devices. Unfortunately, last month, the cord developed a short in it, which pretty much rendered the earbuds useless. That prompted me to replace the earbuds. Initially, I was going to purchase the exact same pair (if it ain't broke, don't fix it). Well, wouldn't you know, the company is no longer in business. This sad fact eventually lead me to investing in a pair of wired Inner Ear Monitors or IEMs which are an upgrade from your standard earbuds but not as expensive as the top of the line, noise cancelling, name brand earbuds endorsed by rappers and rock stars. I did my research and bought two pair of IEMs that had impressive reviews, but did not break my budget. While one pair of the IEMs was just loud enough to be useful for me, the other set just didn't cut the mustard when it came to the volume level. I broke down and purchased a different brand of IEMs and the new pair had great sound, but also not enough volume. I really didn't want to spend money on another pair of IEMs, regardless of their inexpensive cost (it was starting to add up). I was researching an app that could increase the volume of the content that I play on my phone, when I found a post that talked about the Sound Blaster X G6 External soundcard, and how it was able to really enhance the user's experience playing video games. I changed the topic of my search to the Sound Blaster X G6 and I found a ton of articles and videos about how people were blown away by how different their experience was by using this portable little plug and play device. Needless to say, I had to hear it for myself. I purchased my device and was pleased with the compact size of the unit. The portability allows me to use this device in more ways than I anticipated. I can connect it to my android phone by using a USB C to 3.5 mm adapter that can be purchased for less than $20.00. That allows me to use it anytime I consume media on my cell phone. I can also use it with my laptop computer by connecting it directly using the included microUSB cord included with the package. I can also use it when I play video games or watch movies on my PS5. There is one caveat. Since this product was released before USB C became the standard type of port to power / charge devices, the Sound Blaster X G6 still uses a microUSB port to supply power to the unit. You can plug the microUSB cord into the same plug in wall charger that you use for your cell phone. You can also supply power through an open USB port on your computer or video game console. A third option which I hadn't initially considered was that it's possible to use a portable charging bank to supply power to the Sound Blaster X, at least until the portable charging bank has used up all of it's stored power. I suggest investing in either a usb extension cord with an A Male to A Female connection or an extra long microUSB cord for maximum portability. That way, you can plug the microUSB up to the wall or other power source when you are laying in bed or away from a laptop or other device with a powered USB connection. I've had the device for several weeks and I can honestly say that it works wonders for me, especially for my hearing condition. I have trouble hearing high frequencies and also some of the low end bass frequencies. With the Sound BlasterX G6, I can purchase any pair of IEMs and feel confident that I can have more than enough audible space to increase the volume to my liking. You can also connect the device to your computer to adjust the internal settings and EQ to fine tune the sound to your liking., The unit saves your adjustments and settings, even when you are not connected to that same computer. Overall, this product seems like it was made for me. It has made several pairs of IEMs and over the ear headphones that I own sound vibrant and alive. I would recommend this product to anyone who would like to enhance their audio listening experience.
