If you do not like dinty moore you hate america
this is good stuff to have on hand for an emergency whether it be you just want a quick something decent to eat or laying back a few cases for peace of mind (instead of all those freeze dried overpriced barely edible "emergency food" in the buckets) tastes just like it did as a kid 20 years ago. the current price (30 dollars case of 20oz cans) is competitive and mine came fresh about two years from expiration not close to the expiration date like you will sometimes get when buying food items online. if the 38oz cans were an option i would buy more but those have been available locally of late for roughly the same price/oz so it is easier to rotate in fresh cans as the old ones are consumed. 1 38oz can or 2 20oz cans will fill a large/deep bowl.

So much salt never tasted so good!
I love Dinty Moore. My only complaint is the salt content is sooooo high. That said served over mashed taters, or Basmati rice, this is a quick and yummy supper option! I confess at times to enjoy eating it right out of the can cold!!!! When I do that my wife gives me the old stinkeye and says "do you want me to heat that up for you?" I always say no!

Hearty
You cannot say anything bad about Dinty Moore Stew. We bought a case for the hurricane and it worked out fine. It has a little more calories than I usually like, but you just have to eat a little less. It makes a good meal for both my wife and myself and if you have a couple of kids, just add some noodles and you have a meal for four. You cannot get such a value any where else today.

Meaty
This case of stew really had a good portion of meat like a stew should have. It can use salt and pepper, but it's a basic stew, you can add what you like. Get dried mushrooms at an Asian store broiled or sizzled in a skillet probably would be good with it.

Awesome....This stuff is the best!
I usually go for the really big cans 38 ounces I think they are, but had a lower budget so I got these....Dinty Moore Beef Stew is always awesome....never could get tired of it....I was initially reluctant to get these because I have tried the smaller portions, which I think we're 15 ounces, and some that were something I bought with some "Hormel compleats" which are in packs of 6 and the food is in a microwave tray that is vacuum sealed and the smaller cans and the trays had way way less meat and the meat that was there was tiny....it was more like small chunks of potatoes and tiny pieces of carrots and small pieces of meat with Gravy....But these cans have big chunks of meat and carrots and potatoes...Still smaller than the real big cans I usually get....But much bigger than in the 15 ounce cans and the microwave trays....Similar to the really big cans I usually get the cans are jammed full of the good stuff where as the others I tried, even the just a step down from 20 to 15 ounces they were mostly gravy and any pieces were few and small pieces....20 works too though since it's not just a can of gravy, great too because sometimes the bigger cans 38 ounces are unavailable and/or hard to find, and 15 ounces was gravy with little bits, so I'll add these 20 ounces to my list....I especially like the fact it comes in a multiple can package.....This stuff is so good....I always have to keep some because unlike most soup that comes in a can....This stuff is delicious and if you didn't know it was from a can you would have thought it was delicious and asked for the recipe! One thing I do is mix rice into it if running low, and then it can last for days....Filling.... Delicious. Can't go wrong with these!

Not as good as it once was
Lots of cheap potatos and a lot less meat and carrots than you used to get. Still this a quick and hearty meal to toss in a microwave and eat with some sliced bread to sop up the gravy.
